NIACL is all set to conduct the preliminary examination for the post of Assistants. The examination is scheduled to be held on 23 April, 2017. The main examination is going to be conducted in 23 May, 2017. The final result for the recruitment process is going to be announced in June 2017.
Pattern of Preliminary examination: The preliminary examination will be as per the pattern followed last year. There will be a test of 60 minutes with 100 questions. You need to answer 30 questions in English and 35 questions each from reasoning and quantitative aptitude. There will not be any sectional timing allotted and you will get 60 minutes to answer these 100 questions.

Well, we all know that the competition for the job is very high and everybody wants a job and for every job gained, a number of candidates will miss the bus. Hence, the only way to get final selection is to increase your marks as much as possible. So, how to do that?
The banking team of Mahendra Guru (www.mahendraguru.com) has come up with few time management tips which will prove helpful to crack the examination, stated as below:
Scan the section first: Every competitive examination has some easy, some moderate and some very tough questions – those who wish to ace the exam must learn to spot the easy ones and avoid the tough ones. No one will be able to attempt all questions in the given time and therefore the best approach is to focus on accuracy rather than on the number of questions to be attempted.
In this scenario the key to score maximum marks is the ‘selection’ of the right question to attempt. Candidates are advised to select the question based on parameters like expertise of subject, length of the question, level of difficulty of the question and their own comfort level in solving particular type of questions.
Sectional Cut off is there: Well, this eliminates a lot of candidates in the examination since nobody is a champion in each and every section of the examination. However, a banking job requires equal ease with all the subjects in the examination. In case you are not comfortable in one or two sections, try to score decent marks in those sections at least. Otherwise, even if you score high in other sections, you are out of the race altogether.
There is negative marking so go slow: Yes, this is one aspect that should be kept in mind especially for the freshers. Do not ever think of attempting more questions in case you are not sure about them. In the examination hall, it seems correct but once you come out, the number of wrong questions increases and so does negative marks, thereby, reducing the overall marks in the examination.
Figure out what's covered: Concentrate on the topics that you have already covered and about which you are confident. Do not try to learn new topics as at this time it will only lower your confidence. Revise General Awareness and Computer Knowledge section as these are scoring section.
Cross-check the options also: Sometimes one can easily get the answer by just checking the given options. So cross check the given options before marking your answer.
Do not lose excessive time over any question: The best rule is that if you are no closer to solving a Question even after 2-3 minutes then it is wise to abandon the same and move on to other one.
Don’t get panic: And last but not the least ensure aspirants should pace themselves during the exam. It is most important among all is “Don’t get panic” this will lower speed and thinking ability.
