Asian Games in Indonesia to feature 39 sports
The Asian Games in Indonesia will feature 39 sports, more than at the last event in South Korea, with some unusual additions including bridge, the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA).
But cricket, which was at the last two Asian Games, is being dropped after the OCA complained that major sides had failed to send full-strength squads.

Tushar Arothe appointed India women coach
Former Baroda batsman Tushar Arothe has been named the Indian womens cricket team coach, replacing Purnima Rau, who claims she was not taken into confidence before the change was made.
The 50-year-old has been brought in till the World Cup in June-July for the time being.

CII signs MoUs with 3 Singapore Universities
The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) signed agreements with three Singapore universities to provide training opportunities to students.
The memorandum of understandings (MoUs) will allow the universities and International Enterprise (IE) Singapore, a business promotion agency, to tap into CII's network of over 8,000 members to create overseas attachment opportunities for enrolled students.

Moushumi Chatterjee gets BFJA lifetime achievement award
Veteran actress Moushumi Chatterjee has received the lifetime achievement award, while actor Ashish Vidyarthi was honoured for his contribution to Indian Cinema at the 80th Bengal Film Journalists' Association (BFJA) awards.
