India slip to No.4 in ICC T20I rankings
India have dropped two places to slip to fourth position in the ICC Twenty20 International team rankings following the annual update on May 1.
Having dropped six points, India are now on 118 points, three behind second placed England and third placed Pakistan -- both of whom are on 121 points each. Pakistan joined England on 121 after earning five points. However, they are a rank behind England by a fraction of a point.

भारत एक मई को वाषिर्क अपडेट के बाद आईसीसी टी20 अंतरराष्ट्रीय टीम रैंकिंग में दो पायदान नीचे चौथे स्थान पर खिसक गया।
भारत को छह अंक का नुकसान हुआ और उसके अब 118 अंक रह गये हैं। वह दूसरे और तीसरे स्थान पर काबिज क्रमश: इंग्लैंड और पाकिस्तान से तीन अंक पीछे है। इंग्लैंड और पाकिस्तान दोनों के 121 अंक हैं। पाकिस्तान हालांकि दशमलव में गणना पर इंग्लैंड से पीछे है।

हर साल 24 जनवरी को मनाया जाएगा ‘उत्तर प्रदेश दिवस’
उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार अब हर साल 24 जनवरी को ‘उत्तर प्रदेश दिवस’ मनाएगी। इस मौके पर प्रदेश की सांस्कृतिक धरोहरों एवं परम्पराओं को बढ़ावा देने वाले कार्यक्रम आयोजित किये जाएंगे।
पूर्व में उत्तर प्रदेश का नाम यूनाइटेड प्राविंस था। 24 जनवरी 1950 को संशोधन करते हुए उसका नाम उत्तर प्रदेश किया गया।

Bembem, Jeje nominated for Arjuna
The legendary Oinam Bembem Devi, Jeje Lalpekhlua and Gurpreet Sandhu have been nominated for the Arjuna Awards this year by the All India Football Federation (AIFF).
The 36-year-old Bembem called time on her illustrious international career at the end of the South Asian Games last year in Shillong, and an Arjuna will be a fitting reward for her services to the game, the AIFF felt.
बेमबेम और जेजे अर्जुन पुरस्कार के लिये नामित
अखिल भारतीय फुटबाल महासंघ : एआईएफएफ : ने ओइनाम बेमबेम देवी, जेजे लालपेखलुआ और गुरप्रीत संधू को इस साल के अर्जुन पुरस्कार के लिये नामित किया है।
छत्तीस वर्षीय बेमबेम ने पिछले साल शिलांग में दक्षिण एशियाई खेलों के बाद संन्यास ले लिया था और एआईएफएफ का मानना है कि इस खेल में उनकी सेवाओं के लिये अर्जुन पुरस्कार सबसे अच्छा इनाम होगा।

Rajive Kaul gets diplomatic service award from South Korea
Chairman of Nicco group and past president of CII Rajive Kaul was conferred with the Order of Diplomatic Service Merit Sungnye Medal of the Republic of Korea for his services rendered as honorary consul general of South Korea in Kolkata.
The award was conferred by the acting President and Prime Minister of South Korea Hwang Kyo-ahn at a programme in New Delhi recently.
राजीव कौल को दक्षिण कोरिया की ओर से डिप्लोमेटिक सर्विस पुरस्कार मिला
निक्को समूह के चेयरमैन और उद्योग मंडल सीआईआई के पूर्व अध्यक्ष राजीव कौल को कोलकाता में दक्षिण कोरिया के मानद सलाहकार जनरल के तौर पर उनकी बेहतरीन सेवाओं के लिये रिपब्लिक ऑफ कोरिया की ओर से ‘आर्डर ऑफ डिप्लोमेटिक सर्विस मेरिट सुंगनी मेडल’ अवार्ड प्रदान किया गया है।
दक्षिण कोरिया के कार्यवाहक राष्ट्रपति और प्रधानमंत्री ह्वांग क्यो-अहन ने हाल में राजधानी नयी दिल्ली में आयोजित एक समारोह में यह पुरस्कार प्रदान किया।
