Sol 

Let the length and breadth a and b.

Area of rectangle = a×b = 20 b

a = 20

Perimeter = 2(a+b) = 70

20+b= 35

b = 15

Breadth = 15 cm.

2.) A man get Rs. 1000 at S.I. on the sum at the rate of 5 percent per annum in 4 years . At the same rate on the double sum what will be the C.I. in 2 years ?

एक व्यक्ति को एक मूलधन पर 5 प्र.श.प्र.व की दर से 4 वर्ष में साधारण ब्याज के 1000 रूपए मिलते हैं उसी दर पर दो वर्ष में उससे दुगने मूलधन पर उसे कितना चक्रवृद्धि ब्याज मिलेगा?

Suppose they meet after x hours 

then

3x + 4x = 17.5

7x = 17.5

x = 2.5 hours

5.) The ratio of persent ages of Radha and Sudha is 7:9 .Five years ago,the ratio of their ages was 3:4. What will be Sudha's age after 3 years?

28x – 20 = 27x - 15

x = 5

After 3 years Radha's age = 7 × 5 + 3

6.) If the area of a rectangle is 8484 square metre and its breadth is 42 metre. So find its perimeter?

Area = l × b

8484 = l ×42

7.) The radius of a circle is 20% more than the height of a right angled triangle. The base of triangle is 36 cm. If the area of triangle and circle be equal, what will be the area of circle?
