Previous year questions give guidance to us and provide a base for the preparation of any competitive exam. It is always good to have an experience of how the level of exam varies from year to year. For every subject like in Quantitative Aptitude, we come to know the pattern of questions must be followed to prepare the examination.

(1-5) In each of the following questions, two equations are given. You have to solve them and answer the question.

निम्नलिखित प्रश्नों में दो समीकरण (I) और (II) दिये गये है दोनों समीकरण हल कीजिए और प्रश्नों के उत्तर दीजिए-

1.) (I) 6x²-11x+4=0                 (II) 30 y² -23y+3=0

Sol

x = 1.33 , 0.5

y = 0.166, 0.6

Relationship cannot be established / सम्बन्ध स्थापित नहीं किया जा सकता है।

2.) (I) 7x²+10x+3=0                 (II) 2y²+11y+14=0

Sol

x = –1, –0.429

y = –3.5, –2

x > y

3.) (I) 2x² – 15 = 7x                 (II) 17y = – 7 – 6y²  

Sol

x = +5, – 1.5

y = –2.33, – 0.5

Relationship cannot be established / सम्बन्ध स्थापित नहीं किया जा सकता है।

4) (I) 6x² + 31x + 35 = 0                   (II) 2y² + 3y +1 = 0

Sol

x = –3.5, –1.66

y = – 1, – 0.5

x < y

Sol

x = 1.802, 2

y = 1.802, 1.8

x > y
