1.A plate on square base made of brass is of length x cm and width 1 mm. The plate weighs 4725 gm. If 1 cubic cm of brass weighs 8.4 gm, then the value of x is:

Volume of Plate = x×x×0.1

= 0.1×x2 cm3

1cm3 of brass weighs = 8.4 gram

x = 75

2. A can do in one day three times the work done by B in one day. They together finish 2/5 of the work in 9 days. The number of days by which B can do the work alone is:
