Pak among top 50 countries with high terror-financing risks

Pakistan is among the top 50 countries with high terrorism financing and money laundering risks, according to a latest report by a Swiss group. 

The Basel Institute on Governance, in its 2017 edition of the Basel Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Index which has assessed 146 countries regarding money laundering and terrorism financing risks, said that Afghanistan, Nepal and Sri Lanka stand out with particular high risk scores in the Index.

धनशोधन और आतंकवाद को वित्तीय मदद के खतरे वाले 146 देशों का आकलन करते हुए बेसल इंस्टिट्यूट ऑन गवर्नेंस ने बेसल एंटी मनी लॉन्ड्रिंग (एएमएल) सूचकांक के अपने 2017 के संस्करण में कहा है कि अफगानिस्तान, नेपाल और श्रीलंका सूचकांक में अत्यंत खतरे वाले स्थान पर है।

Donald Sutherland to receive honorary Oscar

Hollywood star Donald Sutherland is finally set to receive an honorary Oscar despite never being nominated in the past.
The 82-year-old has starred in a number of successful movies such as "The Dirty Dozen", "Invasion of the Body Snatchers", "A Time To Kill" and "Eye of the Needle" and most recently he appeared in "The Hunger Games" franchise as President Snow. Despite his extensive filmography Donald has never been nominated for an Academy Award.

SpaceX launches Air Force's super-secret mini-shuttle

SpaceX launched the Air Force's super-secret space shuttle, a technology tester capable of spending years in orbit.

The unmanned Falcon rocket blasted off from Florida's Kennedy Space Center, as schools and businesses boarded up for Hurricane Irma.

It's the fifth flight for one of these crewless mini- shuttles, known as the X-37B Orbital Test Vehicle.
