Inflation at the wholesale level rose to 6-month high of 3.59 per cent in October. Inflation, based on the Wholesale Price Index (WPI), was 2.60 per cent in September.
In October last year, it was 1.27 per cent. Last month's inflation was the highest since April, when it was 3.85 per cent.

अक्तूबर माह में थोक मुद्रास्फीति 3.59 प्रतिशत पर पहुंच गई। यह इसका पिछले छह माह का उच्च स्तर है। थोक मूल्य सूचकांक (डब्ल्यूपीआई) आधारित मुद्रास्फीति इससे पिछले महीने सितंबर में 2.60 प्रतिशत पर थी।
एक साल पहले अक्तूबर में थोक मुद्रास्फीति 1.27 प्रतिशत रही थी। बहरहाल, अक्तूबर 2017 की मुद्रास्फीति इस साल अप्रैल के बाद सबसे ऊंची है। अप्रैल में यह 3.85 प्रतिशत दर्ज की गई थी।

Pakistan's spinner Saeed Ajmal announced his retirement from all forms of cricket.
Ajmal took 178 wickets in 35 Tests, the last of which was at Galle in Sri Lanka in 2014, where his bowling action was reported for a second time. It was first reported during an ODI series against Australia in the UAE in 2009.
He finished with 184 wickets in 113 ODIs, and 85 in 64 Twenty20 internationals.

After extensive discussions with Prime Minister Narendra Modi with Philippine's President Rodrigo Duterte on different areas of bilateral relations, the two countries signed four agreements for cooperation in several areas including defense and security.
Both the two leaders have pledged to increase the bilateral cooperation to deal with terrorism in an effective manner, describing terrorism as a major threat to both the countries and regions.

दोनों नेताओं ने आतंकवाद को दोनों देशों एवं क्षेत्र के सामने मौजूद बड़ा खतरा बताते हुए इस चुनौती से प्रभावशाली तरीके से निपटने के लिए द्विपक्षीय सहयोग बढ़ाने का संकल्प लिया।
