Answer:

1.(A)
External radius of pipe r2 = 4 cm
 Internal radius = r1 = 4 - 1 = 3 cm.
 volume of pipe = (r22 - r21) ×h.
= π (16 - 9) × 21 = 22/7 × 7 × 21 = 462 cu.cm.
Weight of pipe = volume × Density.
= 3.696 kg.

2. (C)
Radius of sphere r = 3 cm = 0.3 m
 and diameter of wire = 0.2 cm
 So Radius = 0.1 cm = 0.001 m
 Volume of sphere = Volume of wire.

3.(C)
3sinx + 5cosx = 5
9sin2x + 25cos2x + 30 sinx cosx = 25
9(1-cos2x)+25(1-sin2x)+30 sinx cosx = 25
9+25-(9cos2x+25sin2x-30sinx cosx) = 25
9 = (3 cosx - 5 sinx)2
3 cos x - 5 sin x = 3

4.(C)
(tan 10- tan 890) (tan 20 - tan 880) ----- tan 450
= (tan 10 cot 10) (tan 20 cot 20) ---- tan 450 = 1
[tan (900-θ) = cot θ],   [cot (900 -θ) = tan θ]
 tan θ. cotθ = 1

5.(C)
given ratio
total members : absent = 5 : 3
Hence, number of person absent =  25 = 15

6.(C)
In a 40 litre of mixture,
         Quantity of water is =
         Quantity of milk =

7.(D)

New amount = original amount + extra interest
Extra interest due to increment of 2 % rate of interest =
Rs. 830

8.(A)
Let B stand ahead of A = x meter

1000 – x = 980
x = 20 m.

9.(B)

= 3 × + 5 ×  + 7 × + 25 ×
= 40 × = 40 × 1.414 = 56.56

10.(C)
Let the C.P. of 1 article be Rs.100
M.P. = Rs120
S.P. = x × 120 + x × × 120
=
Rs.
P% =
