1. PM Narendra Modi gets top United Nations environmental honour
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been awarded with the United Nations' highest environmental honour "Champions of the Earth award 2018" for his leadership of the International Solar Alliance and pledge to eliminate single use plastic in India by 2022.

प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी को अंतरराष्ट्रीय सौर गठबंधन के नेतृत्व और 2022 तक भारत को एकल इस्तेमाल वाले प्लास्टिक से मुक्त कराने के संकल्प को लेकर संयुक्त राष्ट्र के सर्वोच्च सम्मान ‘‘चैंपियंस ऑफ द अर्थ अवार्ड’’ से सम्मानित किया गया है। यह सम्मान पांच अन्य व्यक्तियों और संगठनों को भी दिया गया है।
2. Successful pre-induction test of 'Astra' air-to-air missile
A pre-induction trial of India's indigenously developed beyond visual range air-to-air missile (BVRAAM) 'Astra' was successfully conducted Wednesday over Bay of Bengal near Chandipur in Odisha, defence sources said.
The missile was fired from a fighter aircraft of the Indian Air Force in the afternoon and targeted an unmanned aerial vehicle 'Banshi' which it successfully engaged, the sources said.
हवा से हवा में मार करने वाली मिसाइल ‘अस्त्र’ का सफलतापूर्वक परीक्षण
स्वदेशी तकनीक से विकसित दृश्यता सीमा से बाहर हवा से हवा में मार करने वाली मिसाइल (बीवीआरएएएम) ‘अस्त्र’ का रक्षा बेड़े में शामिल करने से पहले बुधवार को सफलतापूर्वक परीक्षण किया गया।
रक्षा सूत्रों ने बताया कि मिसाइल को भारतीय वायु सेना के युद्धक विमान से दोपहर में दागा गया और उसने मानवरहित विमान (यूएवी) ‘बंशी’ को सफलतापूर्वक निशाना बनाया।
3. Cabinet nod for India-Uzbekistan MoU on cooperation in pharma sector
The Cabinet approved a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to be signed between India and Uzbekistan to increase cooperation in Pharma sector.

4. Navy inks contract with Hindustan Shipyard
The Indian Navy signed a contract with Hindustan Shipyard Limitedfor construction of two Diving Support Vessels (DSV) to augment its submarine support operations.
The first vessel to be built over a 36 month period would be followed by the second, six months later.
नौसेना ने पोत निर्माण के लिए हिन्दुस्तान शिपयार्ड के साथ किया करार
भारतीय नौसेना ने दो गोताखोरी अनुकूल पोत (डीएसवी) के निर्माण के लिए हिन्दुस्तान शिपयार्ड के साथ एक करार पर हस्ताक्षर किया।
पहले पोत का निर्माण 36 माह की अवधि में किया जाएगा, जबकि दूसरे का निर्माण उसके छह माह बाद पूरा किया जाएगा।
5. India, Morocco sign pact to expand collaboration in MSME sector
India and Morocco have signed an agreement for deepening cooperation in the MSME sector, a move which will facilitate transfer of Indian technologies and products to the North African nation.

भारत और मोरक्को ने सूक्ष्म, लघु एवं मझोले उद्यम क्षेत्र में सहयोग बढ़ाने के लिये समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर किये। इस कदम से भारतीय प्रौद्योगिकी और उत्पादों का हस्तांतरण उत्तरी अफ्रीकी देशों को हो सकेगा।
