1. Noted Malayalam poet Paloor passes away
Well-known Malayalam poet M N Paloor passed away at his residence at Kovoor. He was 86.
He was a recipient of various honours including the prestigious Sahitya Akademi award.
Paloor, one of the early poets to have modern views, is the author of some of the finest Malayalam poems of the latter half of the 20th century.
जाने माने मलयाली कवि पलूर का निधन
प्रसिद्ध मलयाली कवि एम एन पलूर का कवूर स्थित उनके आवास पर निधन हो गया। वह 86 वर्ष के थे।
उन्हें प्रतिष्ठित साहित्य अकादमी अवार्ड सहित कई पुरस्कारों से सम्मानित किया गया था।
पलूर आधुनिक विचार रखने वाले कवियों में से एक थे जिन्होंने 20 वीं सदी के उत्तरार्द्ध में बेहतरीन मलयाली कविताएं लिखी।

Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled a 64-foot-tall statue of peasant leader Sir Chhotu Ram at his native village Sampla in Haryana's Rohtak district.

प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने हरियाणा के रोहतक जिला स्थित सांपला गांव में किसान नेता सर छोटू राम की 64 फीट ऊंची प्रतिमा का अनावरण किया।
3. Naveen Patnaik lays foundation stone of Odia University
Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik laid foundation stone of the proposed Odia University at Sakhigopal in Puri district.
The proposed regional language university will impart education upto higher courses including MPhil and PhD in Odia language and will promote and propagate Odia language across the country. It will also facilitate research on different aspects of the language.

ओडिशा के मुख्यमंत्री नवीन पटनायक ने पुरी जिले के सखीगोपाल में प्रस्तावित ओड़िया विश्वविद्यालय की आधारशीला रखी।
प्रस्तावित विश्वविद्यालय ओड़िया भाषा में एमफिल और पीएचडी समेत उच्चतर पाठ्यक्रमों की शिक्षा देगा और समूचे देश में ओड़िया भाषा का प्रचार-प्रसार करेगा। यह भाषा के विभिन्न पहलुओं पर शोध भी कराएगा।
4. Singer Nitin Bali died
Singer Nitin Bali died. He was 47.
Bali was famous because of singing remixed yesteryear hits in the 1990s.
He sang the remixed version of hit songs like "Neele Neele Ambar", Chukar Mere Mann Ko", "Ek Ajnabi Haseene Se" and "Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas".
गायक नितिन बाली का निधन
गायक नितिन बाली का निधन हो गया। वह 47 वर्ष के थे।
नितिन बाली 1990 में पुराने गीतों का रिमिक्स करने के लिए मशहूर हुए थे।
बाली ने ‘नीले नीले अंबर पर’, ‘छूकर मेरे मन को’, ‘एक अजनबी हसीना से’ और ‘पल पल दिल के पास’ जैसे प्रसिद्ध गीतों को रिमिक्स किया है।
