1. Saurabh Kumar appointed India's envoy to Myanmar
Senior diplomat Saurabh Kumar has been appointed India's ambassador to Myanmar, the Ministry of External Affairs said.
Kumar, a 1989 batch Indian Foreign Service officer, is currently serving as the Indian envoy in Iran.

कुमार 1989 बैच के एक भारतीय विदेश सेवा के एक अधिकारी हैं। वह इस समय ईरान में भारतीय राजदूत के रूप में कार्यरत हैं।
2. M Nageshwar Rao appointed CBI interim director
M Nageshwar Rao has been appointed as the interim director of CBI. The 1986 batch Odisha cadre IPS officer M Nageswar Rao is known for his acumen in handling disasters in the state as well as neighbouring Andhra Pradesh.

3. Israel to supply missile defence systems to India for $777 mn
India has awarded an additional USD 777 million deal to a leading Israeli defence firm for supplying Barak 8 LR-SAM Air and Missile Defence Systems to seven ships of the Indian Navy.
The Long-Range Surface-to-Air Missile (LR-SAM) system is an operational Air and Missile Defence (AMD) system used by Israel's navy as well as by India's navy, air and land forces.

भारत ने अपनी नौसेना के सात पोतों के वास्ते बराक 8 एल आर-एस ए एम हवाई एवं मिसाइल रक्षा प्रणाली की आपूर्ति के लिए एक अग्रणी इस्राइली रक्षा कंपनी को एक और सौदा दिया है।
लंबी दूरी की सतह से हवा में मार करने वाली मिसाइल (एल आर-एस ए एम) प्रणाली एक परिचालित हवाई एवं मिसाइल रक्षा (ए एम डी) प्रणाली है जिसे इस्राइल की नौसेना और भारत की नौसेना, जमीनी एवं हवाई बल इस्तेमाल करते हैं।
4. Tata Chemicals signs MoU with CSIR-CECRI
Tata Chemicals (TCL) signed an agreement with CSIRCECRI (Central Electrochemical Research Institute), Karaikudi in Tamil Nadu, to explore collaborative technology scaling up of manufacturing cathode materials for Lithium-ion cells.
Under this memorandum of understanding (MoU), TCL and CSIR-CECRI envisages building a partnership which would leverage the latter's intellectual property, capabilities and infrastructure, to eventually manufacture Lithium-ion batteries for various applications, a release said.
टाटा केमिकल्स ने सीएसआईआर-सीईसीआरआई के साथ किया समझौता
टाटा केमिकल्स ने लिथियम आयन बैटरी के लिये कैथोड के विनिर्माण को लेकर प्रौद्योगिकी में सहयोग की संभावना तलाशने के लिये सीएसआईआर-सीईसीआरआई (सेंट्रल इलेक्ट्रोकेमिकल रिसर्च इंस्टीट्यूट) के साथ समझौता किया।
जारी एक विज्ञप्ति के अनुसार टाटा केमिकल्स और सीएसआईआर-सीईसीआरआई ने सहयोग के लिये सहमति पत्र पर दस्तखत किये।
5. Donald Trump picks Indian-American Neil Chatterjee as chairman of key federal energy agency
US President Donald Trump designated Indian-American Neil Chatterjee as chairman of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC).
Chatterjee, who is FERC Commissioner, would replace Kevin McIntyre as chairman of the prestigious agency.
