1. NSDL starts payments bank operations
National Securities Depository Ltd (NSDL) Payments Bank has commenced operations as a payments bank.
In November 2014, the RBI had granted 'in-principle' approval to 11 applicants, including National Securities Depository Ltd (NSDL) to set up payments banks.

नेशनल सेक्योरिटीज डिपोजिटरी लिमिटेड (एनएसडीएल) पेमेंट बैंक ने भुगतान बैंक के रूप में काम करना शुरू कर दिया है।
नवंबर, 2014 में भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक ने एनएसडीएल सहित 11 आवेदकों को भुगतान बैंक शुरू करने की ‘सैद्धांतिक’ मंजूरी दी थी।
2. India, Japan sign $75 bn currency swap agreement
India and Japan concluded a USD 75 billion bilateral currency swap agreement, a move that will help in bringing greater stability in foreign exchange and capital markets in the country.
The agreement will further strengthen and widen the depth and diversity of economic cooperation between the two countries.
भारत, जापान ने 75 अरब डालर के मुद्रा अदला-बदली समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर किये
भारत और जापान ने आपस में 75 अरब डालर के बराबर विदेशी मुद्रा की अदला-बदली की व्यवस्था का करार किया है। वित्त मंत्रालय ने कहा कि जापान के साथ इस तरह की सुविधा से रुपये की विनिमय दर तथा पूंजी बाजारों में बड़ी स्थिरता बनाए रखने में मदद मिलेगी।
इस समझौते से दोनों देशों के बीच आर्थिक सहयोग और प्रगाढ़ होगा तथा इसमें विविधता बढ़ेगी।
3. Tata Steel named as official partner of men's hockey World Cup
Steel manufacturing giant Tata Steel was named as an official partner for the prestigious men's hockey World Cup to be held here from November 28 to December 16.

दिग्गज इस्पात निर्माता कंपनी टाटा स्टील 28 नवंबर से 16 दिसबंर तक होने वाले प्रतिष्ठित पुरुष हाकी विश्व कप की आधिकारिक साझेदार होगी।
4. A S Bopanna sworn in as Chief Justice of Gauhati High Court
Justice Ajjikuttira Somaiah Bopanna was sworn in as Chief Justice of Gauhati High Court.
Prior to his new appointment, Bopanna, 59, was a permanent judge of Karnataka High Court.

न्यायमूर्ति ए एस बोपन्ना को राजभवन में गौहाटी उच्च न्यायालय के मुख्य न्यायाधीश के तौर पर शपथ दिलायी गई।
न्यायमूर्ति बोपन्ना (59) इससे पहले कर्नाटक उच्च न्यायालय के एक स्थायी न्यायाधीश थे।
5. Country's first engine-less train rolled out
India's first engine-less semi-high speed train - "Train 18" - was rolled out by the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) and will eventually replace the Shatabdi Express for inter-city travel.

इंटिग्रल कोच फैक्ट्री (आईसीएफ) द्वारा सौ करोड़ रूपये की लागत से तैयार देश की पहली इंजन-रहित ट्रेन ‘ट्रेन 18’ का रेलवे बोर्ड के अध्यक्ष अश्विनी लोहानी ने अनावरण किया। माना जा रहा है कि यह पुरानी शताब्दी ट्रेनों की जगह लेगी।
6. RBI clears re-appointment of Aditya Puri as HDFC Bank CEO for 2 years
HDFC Bank said the RBI had approved the re-appointment of Aditya Puri as managing director of the bank for another two years.
आरबीआई ने और दो साल के एचडीएफसी बैंक के सीईओ के तौर पर पुरी की नियुक्ति को मंजूरी दी
