1. CAG Rajiv Mehrishi appointed as Vice-Chair of UN Panel of Auditors
Comptroller and Auditor General Rajiv Mehrishi has become the Vice-Chair of the UN Panel of Auditors. The United Nations Panel of Auditors consists of External Auditors of the United Nations and its agencies.
Presently, the panel consists of 11 countries — India, Germany, Chile, Canada, France, Italy, Philippines, Ghana, Indonesia, Switzerland and United Kingdom.
राजीव महर्षि को संयुक्तराष्ट्र की आडिटर समिति का उपाध्यक्ष बनाया गया
भारत के नियंत्रक एवं महालेखापरीक्षक (कैग) राजीव महर्षि संयुक्तराष्ट्र की आडिटर समिति के उपाध्यक्ष चुने गये हैं। संयुक्तराष्ट्र की अंकेक्षकों (आडिटरर्स) की समिति में संयुक्तराष्ट्र और उसकी एजेंसियों के बही खातों का आडिट करने वाले बाहरी आडिटर रखे जाते हैं।
वर्तमान में इस समिति में 11 देशों की सरकारी आडिटर एजेंसियां हैं। इन देशों में भारत, जर्मनी, चिले, कनाडा, फ्रांस, इटली, फिलिपींस, घाना, इंडानेशिया, स्विटजरलैंड और ब्रिटेन शामिल हैं।
2. Shaktikanta Das named new RBI Governor
Shaktikanta Das, a former 1980 batch IAS officer who spearheaded the post-demonetisation normalisation of the economy, has been named the new governor of the Reserve Bank of India.
