Dear Aspirants,

As IBPS has released the official notification of the Common Recruitment Process for selection of personnel for Clerical cadre Posts and the exam is tentatively scheduled to be held December 2018 & January 2019. The mapping of forest areas that must be kept out of bounds for mining and industrial activities has been in the making for nearly five years now. The environment ministry needs to complete this exercise soon and make public the demarcations, including the rationale and methodology used. This will pave the way for a transparent and properly debated system of natural resource management. 

Forests are important on multiple counts: they are repositories of biodiversity, (6) livelihood for tribal groups, serve as carbon sinks and protect water sources, particularly first order perennial streams.
