1. M R Kumar appointed LIC chairman
M R Kumar has been appointed the Chairman of Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), according to a Personnel Ministry order.
Kumar was Zonal Manager (in-charge) of North Zone and will hold the post of the LIC Chairman for five years, it said.
एम.आर.कुमार बने एलआईसी के नये चेयरमैन
एम.आर.कुमार को भारतीय जीवन बीमा निगम (एलआईसी) का नया चेयरमैन नियुक्त किया गया है। कार्मिक मंत्रालय के एक आदेश में इसकी जानकारी दी गयी।
आदेश में कहा गया कि कुमार इससे पहले उत्तरी क्षेत्र के क्षेत्रीय प्रबंधक (प्रभारी) थे। उन्हें पांच साल के लिये एलआईसी का चेयरमैन बनाया गया है।
2. RBI to inject liquidity worth USD 5 bn into system
The Reserve Bank said it will inject long-term liquidity worth USD 5 billion into the system through foreign exchange swap arrangement with banks for three years.
रिजर्व बैंक प्रणाली में पांच अरब डॉलर की नकदी डालेगा
भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक ने कहा कि वह बैंकों के साथ तीन साल की विदेशी विनिमय अदला-बदली व्यवस्था के तहत बैंकिंग प्रणाली में पांच अरब डॉलर की दीर्घावधि की नकदी डालेगा।
3. INDO-OMAN Joint Ex Al Nagah 2019
Indo Oman Joint Exercise Al Nagah III 2019, a joint military exercise between Indian and Royal Army of Oman (RAO), commenced at HQ Jabel Regiment, Nizwa, Oman with a brief but impressive opening ceremony that saw the unfurling of the national flags of both countries with Omani and Indian soldiers standing side by side signifying the growing cooperation, synergy and understanding between both the countries.

भारत-ओमान संयुक्त सैन्य अभ्यास अल नागाह III 2019 शानदार समारोह के साथ जबल रेजिमेंट, निजवा, ओमान में प्रारंभ हुआ। भारतीय सेना और ओमान की रॉयल सेना (आरएओ) के संयुक्त अभ्यास समारोह में दोनों देशों के राष्ट्रीय ध्वज फहराए गए और दोनों देशों के सैनिक ओमान तथा भारत के बढ़ते सैन्य सहयोग, सहकार्य और दोनों देशों के बीच समझदारी का संकेत देते हुए एक-दूसरे के साथ खड़े दिखे।
4. India Pavilion inaugurated at London Book Fair
Sadhana Rout, Director General, Publications Division & Shri Vikram Sahay, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting inaugurated the India Pavilion at London Book Fair. The Fair is being held in the London Olympia from 12th to 14th March.
लंदन पुस्तक मेले में भारतीय मंडप का उद्घाटन
सूचना और प्रसारण मंत्रालय में संयुक्त सचिव विक्रम सहाय और महानिदेशक, प्रकाशन विभाग सुश्री साधना राउत ने लंदन पुस्तक मेले में भारतीय मंडप का उद्घाटन किया। यह पुस्तक मेला 12 से 14 मार्च तक लंदन ओलम्पिया में आयोजित किया जा रहा है।
5. Pakistan successfully test-fires 'smart weapon' from JF-17 fighter jet
Pakistan Air Force has announced successfully test-firing an indigenously developed "smart weapon" from a JF-17 Thunder fighter jet to provide it a very potent day and night capability to engage a variety of targets with pinpoint accuracy.
पाकिस्तान ने जेएफ-17 लड़ाकू विमान से ‘स्मार्ट अस्त्र’ का किया परीक्षण
पाकिस्तानी वायु सेना ने जेएएफ थंडर लड़ाकू विमान से देश में विकसित ‘‘स्मार्ट अस्त्र’’ का सफल परीक्षण करने की घोषणा की है।
इससे जेएफ-17 थंडर लड़ाकू विमान की दिन और रात की युद्ध क्षमता में इजाफा होगा और ये लक्ष्य पर सटीक निशाना लगाएंगे।
