1. India Singapore conduct naval drill in South China Sea
The navies of India and Singapore conducted their bilateral naval drill SIMBEX-2019 in the South China Sea. The exercise will be conducted till May 22.
Indian Navy ships Kolkata and Shakti took part in the bilateral naval exercise with Singapore, along with long range maritime patrol aircraft Poseidon-8I (P8I).
The Singapore side is to be represented by RSN ships Steadfast and Valiant, maritime patrol aircraft Fokker-50 (F-50) and F-16 fighter aircraft.

भारत और सिंगापुर की नौसेनाओं ने दक्षिण चीन सागर में द्विपक्षीय अभ्यास सिम्बेक्स-2019 शुरू किया। यह अभ्यास 22 मई तक चलेगा।
भारतीय नौसेना के जहाजों- कोलकाता और शक्ति ने लंबी दूरी के समुद्री गश्ती विमान पोसीडॉन -81 के साथ इस अभ्यास में हिस्सा लिया।
सिंगापुर की ओर सक आएसएन जहाजों- स्टीडफास्ट और वैलिएंट ने समुद्री गश्ती विमान फोकर - 50 और एफ-16 लड़ाकू विमान के साथ इस अभ्यास में भाग लिया।
2. Nepal inaugurates educational institution built with Indian aid
A new building of a Nepal's educational institution, built with India's assistance, was inaugurated in the Udayapur district.
The campus of the Shree Narad Adarsha Education in Chaudandigadhi Municipality of Udayapur District has been built with India's help which provided an aid of 3 crore (30 million) Nepali rupees, a statement from the Indian Embassy here said.
नेपाल ने भारतीय सहायता से निर्मित शिक्षण भवन का उद्घाटन किया
भारत की सहायता से निर्मित नेपाल के उदयपुर जिले में एक शैक्षणिक संस्थान के एक नये भवन का उद्घाटन किया गया।
भारतीय दूतावास के एक बयान में कहा गया कि उदयपुर जिले के चौदंडीगढ़ी नगर पालिका में ‘‘श्री नारद आदर्श एजुकेशन’’ का परिसर भारत की मदद से बनाया गया है। भारत ने इसके लिए तीन करोड़ नेपाली रुपये की सहायता प्रदान की है।
3. Former FIFA referee Shivappa Shetty no more
Former FIFA referee Shivappa Shetty died. He was 86.
Shetty served football in various capacities as an AFC instructor, All India Football Federation Referee Board member, former president of Bombay Referees Association, AIFF Referees Instructor, AIFF match commissioner and AIFF referees instructor apart from being a FIFA referee.
पूर्व फीफा रेफरी शिवप्पा शेट्टी का निधन
फीफा के पूर्व रेफरी शिवप्पा शेट्टी का निधन हो गया। वह 86 वर्ष के थे।
शेट्टी ने विभिन्न क्षमताओं में फुटबाल की सेवा की। वह फीफा रेफरी के अलावा एएफसी प्रशिक्षक, अखिल भारतीय फुटबाल महासंघ के रेफरी बोर्ड के सदस्य, एआईएफएफ रेफरी प्रशिक्षक और एआईएफएफ मैच आयुक्त भी रह चुके थे।
