1- Google Maps added 45 thousand toilets under 'Lu Review'
Google Maps has added more than 45,000 community and public toilets as part of the Central government's "Loo Review" campaign, according to media reports.
The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs joined hands with Google to launch the Loo Review campaign in September 2018 to encourage all local guides in India to rate and review public toilets on Google Maps.
'लू रिव्यू' के अंतर्गत गूगल मैप्स ने 45 हजार शौचालय जोड़े
गूगल मैप्स ने केंद्र सरकार के 'लू रिव्यू अभियान' के अंतर्गत 45 हजार सामुदायिक और सार्वजनिक शौचालय जोड़े हैं. आवास और शहरी मामलों के मंत्रालय ने सितंबर 2018 में लू रिव्यू अभियान शुरू करने के लिए गूगल के साथ हाथ मिलाया, ताकि भारत में सभी स्थानीय गाइडों को गूगल मैप्स पर सार्वजनिक शौचालयों की दर की समीक्षा की जा सके और लोगों को प्रोत्साहित किया जा सके.
2- Vikas Swarup appointed as the Secretary of Overseas Indian Affairs
Senior diplomat Vikas Swarup has been appointed as Secretary, (consular, passport, visa and Overseas Indian affairs) in the External Affairs Ministry, according to an order issued by the Personnel Ministry. His appointment will come into effect from August 1, 2019. Swarup, a 1986-batch officer of the Indian Foreign Service, is at present India's High Commissioner to Canada.

मंत्रिमंडल की नियुक्ति समिति ने विदेश मंत्रालय में सचिव (वाणिज्य, पासपोर्ट, वीजा और प्रवासी भारतीय मामले ) के रूप में ओटावा में उच्चायुक्त श्री विकास स्वरूप की नियुक्ति को मंजूरी दे दी है, जो 01.08.2019 के प्रभावी होगी। उनकी नियुक्ति 1 अगस्त, 2019 से लागू होगी। भारतीय विदेश सेवा के 1986-बैच के अधिकारी विकास स्वरूप, वर्तमान में कनाडा में भारत के उच्चायुक्त हैं।
3- Indian Weightlifters win four gold in Commonwealth Championship in Samoa
Indian lifters continued the impressive show by winning four golds, two silvers and a bronze. Achinta Sheuli lifted a total of 305 kgs to win the senior and junior men's 73kg gold. In the women's 76kg category, Manpreet Kaur lifted 207 kg to clinch the yellow metal.

भारतीय भारोत्तोलकों ने चार स्वर्ण, दो सिल्वर और एक कांस्य जीतकर प्रभावशाली प्रदर्शन जारी रखा। सीनियर और जूनियर पुरुष 73 किग्रा का स्वर्ण जीतने के लिए अचिनता शूली ने कुल 305 किलोग्राम भार उठाया। महिलाओं के 76 किग्रा वर्ग में, मनप्रीत कौर ने स्वर्ण पदक पाने के लिए 207 किग्रा वजन उठाया।
4- World Health Organisation (WHO) has declared Sri Lanka as ‘measles-free’ nation
The World Health Organization today announced Sri Lanka has eliminated measles, interrupting transmission of the indigenous virus that causes the killer childhood disease. An independent verification committee reviewed in detail all data and ongoing efforts for measles elimination in the island nation and concluded that Sri Lanka has stopped transmission of indigenous measles virus. The country reported its last case of measles caused by an indigenous virus in May 2016.
विश्व स्वास्थ्य संगठन (डब्लूएचओ) ने श्रीलंका को 'खसरा-मुक्त' राष्ट्र घोषित किया है
हाल ही में विश्व स्वास्थ्य संगठन (World Health Organization- WHO) ने श्रीलंका को खसरा (Measles) मुक्त घोषित किया है। श्रीलंका, WHO द्वारा खसरा मुक्त घोषित होने वाला दक्षिण एशिया का 5वाँ देश बन गया है। श्रीलंका ने रूबेला नियंत्रण के एक वर्ष बाद ही खसरे पर भी नियंत्रण पा लिया है। इस क्षेत्र के खसरा मुक्त होने वाले अन्य देश मालदीव, भूटान, डेमोक्रेटिक पीपुल्स रिपब्लिक (DPR) ऑफ़ कोरिया और पूर्वी तिमोर हैं।
भूटान, मालदीव और तिमोर-लेस्ते के बाद श्रीलंका इस क्षेत्र का चौथा देश है, जिसने वर्ष 2020 तक इन बीमारियों को नियंत्रित करने के WHO के क्षेत्रीय लक्ष्य से पहले ही खसरे को समाप्त करने और रूबेला को नियंत्रित करने में सफलता प्राप्त की है। खसरा मुक्त होने से तात्पर्य है कि अंतिम तीन वर्षो में खसरे का कोई नया मामला सामने नहीं आया है। इसके अलावा जब कोई देश वर्ष 2008 के मामलों की तुलना में रूबेला के मामलों में 95% तक कमी लाने में सफल रहता है तब उसे रूबेला नियंत्रित देश माना जाता है। देश ने मई 2016 में एक स्वदेशी वायरस के कारण होने वाले खसरे के अपने अंतिम मामले की सूचना दी। खसरा एक गंभीर और अत्यधिक संक्रामक बीमारी है। जो इन्सेफलाइटिस, दस्त, निर्जलीकरण, निमोनिया, कान में संक्रमण और स्थायी दृष्टि हानि जैसी घातक बीमारियों का कारण बन सकती है।
5- Punjab & Sind Bank sets up centralised hub to process retail, MSME loans
State-owned Punjab & Sind Bank has set up a centralised hub for processing retail and MSME loans for better efficiency of branches in business acquisition.
The Centralised MSME & Retail Group (Cen-MARG) will be housed at its head office in New Delhi. With the launch of Cen-MARG, all approvals of MSME and retail credit will be performed at the Cen-MARG,this will help branches focus better on lead generation for retail lending and MSME and enhanced customer service.

केंद्रीकृत MSME और खुदरा समूह (CEN-MARG) नई दिल्ली में अपने मुख्य कार्यालय में स्थापित किये जाएंगे। Cen-MARG के शुभारंभ के साथ, एमएसएमई और खुदरा ऋण के सभी अनुमोदन Cen-MARG में किए जाएंगे, इससे शाखाओं को खुदरा ऋण और एमएसएमई और ग्राहक सेवा पर बेहतर ध्यान केंद्रित करने में मदद मिलेगी।
