The SBI is all set to conduct the main examination for PO 2019. It is scheduled to be held on 20 July 2019. The marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination (Phase-I) will not be added for preparing the final merit list for selection. Only the marks obtained in Main Examination (Phase-II), both in the Objective Test and the Descriptive Test, will be added to the marks obtained in GE & Interview (Phase-III) for preparing the final merit list. The candidates will have to qualify both in Phase-II and Phase-III separately. Marks secured by the candidates in the Main Examination (out of 250 marks) are converted to out of 75 marks and Group Exercises & Interview scores of candidate (out of 50 marks) are converted to out of 25 marks. The final merit list is arrived at after aggregating (out of 100) converted marks of Main Examination and Group Exercises & Interview. Selection will be made from the top merit ranked candidates in each category.

Prepare a revision time table: Make a revision strategy and study according to this schedule just before the examination .Candidates are advised to revise all the formulas and rules for each subject. For example: Revise basic English grammar rules from any grammar book.
Figure out what's covered: Concentrate on the topics that you have already covered and about which you are confident. Do not try to learn new topics as at this time it will only lower your confidence. Revise General Awareness and Computer Knowledge section as these are scoring section.
Time allocation for each section: Allocate time to each section as there is sectional cut offs so, candidates has to qualify in each section. Candidates should decide in advance how much time they will spend on each section. Plan this out according to your strengths and weaknesses.
Focus on accuracy: Candidates should not try to attempt all the questions as it is not possible to solve all questions in given time. Candidates are advised to focus on accuracy.
Cross-check the options also: Sometimes one can easily get the answer by just checking the given options. So cross check the given options before marking your answer.
Avoid wastage of Time: Don’t spend too much time on reviewing question paper and avoid solving a particular question repeatedly, it will lead to have inadequate time to solve other sections.
Avoid guessing answers: With each wrong answer you would decrease your chances of selection in the written examination as negative marking is applicable in this examination. Hence, it is safe to answer whatever falls under the purview of your knowledge. Guessing doesn’t help in such examinations to topple the hurdle.
Be confident: Self Confidence is the key to crack this examination. From a comparative analysis of the candidates who got already selected, self confidence was one thing that found common amongst all selected ones. You need to keep yourself charged and have faith in yourself. This will definitely help you to answer your questions in the examination with self-assurance and conviction.
