1- Former RBI Deputy Governor Subir Gokarn has passed away
Noted economist and former Reserve Bank of India Deputy Governor Subir Vithal Gokarn has passed away at the age of 60 in Washington DC after a brief period of illness. Gokarn also represented India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Bhutan at the International Monetary Fund Executive Board. He served as the Deputy Governor of the RBI between 2009 and 2013.
RBI के पूर्व डिप्टी गवर्नर सुबीर गोकर्ण का निधन हो गया है
प्रसिद्ध अर्थशास्त्री और भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक के पूर्व डिप्टी गवर्नर सुबीर विट्ठल गोकर्ण का बीमारी के बाद वाशिंगटन डीसी में 60 वर्ष की आयु में निधन हो गया है। गोकर्ण ने अंतर्राष्ट्रीय मुद्रा कोष कार्यकारी बोर्ड में भारत, बांग्लादेश, श्रीलंका और भूटान का भी प्रतिनिधित्व किया। उन्होंने 2009 और 2013 के बीच RBI के उप-राज्यपाल के रूप में कार्य किया।
2- Triple Talaq bill has become a law after President's approval
President Ram Nath Kovind has given assent to the Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Marriage) Bill, 2019 passed by the Parliament, making it a law. The law criminalises instant triple talaq and seeks up to three years in jail for guilty.
राष्ट्रपति की मंजूरी के बाद ट्रिपल तलाक बिल एक कानून बन गया है
राष्ट्रपति राम नाथ कोविंद ने संसद द्वारा पारित मुस्लिम महिला (विवाह पर अधिकारों का संरक्षण) विधेयक, 2019 को एक कानून बना दिया है। यह कानून तत्काल तीन तलाक़ को अपराध घोषित करता है और जिसमे दोषी को तीन साल तक की जेल की सजा का प्रावधान है।
3- One Nation-one Ration Card scheme implemented on pilot basis in four States
In a major boost to national food security government has launched the One Nation-One Ration Card scheme on a pilot basis in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Maharastra and Gujarat from 1st August 2019.
Families who have food security cards can buy subsidized rice and wheat from any ration shop in these states. Their ration cards should be linked with Aadhar Number to avail this service.
चार राज्यों में पायलट आधार पर वन नेशन-वन राशन कार्ड योजना लागू की गई
राष्ट्रीय खाद्य सुरक्षा को बढ़ावा देने के लिए सरकार ने 1 अगस्त 2019 से तेलंगाना, आंध्र प्रदेश, महाराष्ट्र और गुजरात में पायलट आधार पर वन नेशन-वन राशन कार्ड योजना शुरू की है।
जिन परिवारों के पास खाद्य सुरक्षा कार्ड हैं, वे इन राज्यों में किसी भी राशन की दुकान से सब्सिडी वाले चावल और गेहूं खरीद सकते हैं। इस सेवा का लाभ उठाने के लिए उनके राशन कार्ड को आधार नंबर से जुड़ा होना चाहिए।
