1- ADB President meets PM Modi
Asian Development Bank, ADB, President Takehiko Nakao met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and pledged to support the government’s new flagship initiatives.
Mr Nakao commended the government’s vision to make India a five trillion dollar economy.
A statement issued by the bank said the Prime Minister and ADB President discussed how to further enhance the partnership in areas such as the promotion of new technologies and innovation, renewable energy, solar-pump irrigation, electric vehicle and battery, sustainable tourism, and the recycling of plastic.

एशियाई विकास बैंक, एडीबी, राष्ट्रपति टेकहिको नाकाओ ने प्रधान मंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी से मुलाकात की और सरकार की नई प्रमुख पहलों का समर्थन करने का संकल्प लिया।
श्री नाकाओ ने भारत को पाँच ट्रिलियन डॉलर की अर्थव्यवस्था बनाने के लिए सरकार के दृष्टिकोण की सराहना की।
बैंक द्वारा जारी एक बयान में कहा गया कि प्रधान मंत्री और एडीबी अध्यक्ष ने चर्चा की कि नई प्रौद्योगिकियों और नवाचार, नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा, सौर-पंप सिंचाई, इलेक्ट्रिक वाहन और बैटरी, टिकाऊ पर्यटन, और स्थायी पर्यटन जैसे क्षेत्रों में साझेदारी को और कैसे बढ़ाया जाए।
2- Unique tribal eco tourism programme to restart from Sep 2
The unique tribal eco-tourism programme, being conducted in various parts of the Western Ghats in Tamilnadu, will be restarted from 2nd September 2019.
The tour programme, that had attracted much attention, had been temporarily suspended because of the heavy rains that had lashed the Western Ghats areas in the past few weeks.
2 सितंबर से पुनः आरंभ होगा यूनीक जनजातीय इको पर्यटन कार्यक्रम
तमिलनाडु के पश्चिमी घाटों के विभिन्न हिस्सों में आयोजित किए जा रहे अनूठे जनजातीय इको टूरिज्म कार्यक्रम को 2 सितंबर 2019 से फिर से शुरू किया जाएगा।
पिछले कुछ हफ्तों में पश्चिमी घाट के क्षेत्रों में हुई भारी बारिश के कारण यह कार्यक्रम, जिसने बहुत अधिक ध्यान आकर्षित किया था, को अस्थायी रूप से निलंबित कर दिया गया था।
3- PM Modi presents Yoga Awards; launches ten AYUSH Centres in Haryana
Prime Minister Modi released 12 commemorative postal stamps to honour eminent scholars, practitioners and Great Master Healers of AYUSH Systems. These commemorative postal stamps highlight the great work and acknowledge the achievements of the Great Master Healers of AYUSH Systems.
He also launched ten AYUSH Health and Wellness Centres located in Haryana. This is in line with Ministry of AYUSH’s commitment to make 12 thousand 500 AYUSH Health and Wellness Centres functional in next three years. The main focus of these centres will be empowering the community for self-care by imbibing AYUSH based healthy food and lifestyle, social behaviour and use of medicinal plants for primary health care.
पीएम मोदी ने दिए योग पुरस्कार; हरियाणा में दस आयुष केंद्र शुरू किए
प्रधानमंत्री मोदी ने प्रख्यात विद्वानों, चिकित्सकों और आयुष प्रणालियों के महान मास्टर हीलर को सम्मानित करने के लिए 12 स्मारक डाक टिकट जारी किए। ये स्मारक डाक टिकट महान कार्य को उजागर करते हैं और आयुष प्रणालियों के महान मास्टर चिकित्स्कों की उपलब्धियों को स्वीकार करते हैं।
उन्होंने हरियाणा में स्थित दस आयुष स्वास्थ्य और कल्याण केंद्रों का भी शुभारंभ किया। यह आयुष मंत्रालय की 12 हजार 500 आयुष स्वास्थ्य और कल्याण केंद्रों को अगले तीन वर्षों में कार्यात्मक बनाने की प्रतिबद्धता शृंखला में उठाया गया कदम है। इन केंद्रों का मुख्य उद्देश्य आयुष आधारित स्वस्थ भोजन और जीवनशैली, सामाजिक व्यवहार और प्राथमिक स्वास्थ्य देखभाल के लिए औषधीय पौधों के उपयोग को आत्मसात करके समाज को आत्मनिर्भर बनाना होगा।
4- 12th India Security Summit held in New Delhi
The 12th India Security Summit was held in New Delhi. It was organized by Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) and is officially supported by Union Ministry Of Communications & Information Technology.
Its theme was "Towards New National Cyber Security Strategy".
Protection of critical national infrastructure, emerging cyber threats: incidents, challenges and response, are some of the issues which were discussed during the conference.

12वां भारत सुरक्षा शिखर सम्मेलन नई दिल्ली में आयोजित किया गया था। यह एसोसिएटेड चैंबर्स ऑफ कॉमर्स एंड इंडस्ट्री ऑफ इंडिया (ASSOCHAM) द्वारा आयोजित किया गया था और आधिकारिक तौर पर केंद्रीय संचार और सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी मंत्रालय द्वारा समर्थित है।
इस सम्मेलन का विषय था "टुवर्ड्स न्यू नेशनल साइबर सिक्योरिटी स्ट्रैटेजी"।
महत्वपूर्ण राष्ट्रीय अवसंरचना का संरक्षण, उभरते साइबर खतरे: घटनाएं, चुनौतियां और प्रतिक्रिया, कुछ ऐसे मुद्दे हैं जिन पर सम्मेलन के दौरान चर्चा की गई थी।
5- Government Of India extends the tenure of CBDT Chairman P C Mody
The tenure of CBDT Chairman Pramod Chandra Mody has been extended by a year.
A 1982-batch Indian Revenue Service (Income Tax cadre) officer, Mody took over as the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) chief in February 2019.
