1- Mumbai will host the World Youth Chess Championship in October.
2- Indian sprinters Hima Das and Muhammed Anas won a gold each in women's and men's 300m races respectively at the Athleticky Mitink Reiter event in the Czech Republic. This was Hima's sixth gold in European races since July 2.

8-The Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) has decided to name a stand at the Ferozeshah Kotla Stadium after the Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli. Kohli is a resident of Delhi.

9- Indian table tennis player Harmeet Desai, who was nominated for the Arjuna Award, won the men's singles title at the UTT National Ranking (South Zone) Table Tennis Championships at Jimmy George Stadium.
