JAIIB-CAIIB Special 18- Third-party insurance for cars, 2-wheelers will be costlier from June 16

Third party (TP) motor insurance premium by up to 21 per cent for certain categories.

-> New rates for the fiscal 2019-20 

-> new TP insurance for smaller cars (less than 1,000 cc) will cost Rs.2,072 or 12 per cent from the existing Rs.1,850.

-> insurance premium for cars with engine capacity of 1,000 cc to 1,500 cc has been increased by 12.5 percent to Rs.3,221.

-> TP premium for cars with higher engine capacity (1,500 cc plus) has been retained at Rs.7,890

-> Two-wheelers with engine capacity of less than 75 cc-increased 12.88%=Rs.482

-> Two-wheelers with engine capacity of 75-150 cc=Rs.752

-> Two-wheelers having engine capacity between 150 and 350 cc=Rs.1,193

-> TP insurance premium for super bikes (350 cc plus)= no change
