1. Air Marshal Rakesh Kumar Singh Bhadauria took over as Deputy Chief of the Air Staff. He is an alumnus of the National Defence Academy and was commissioned in the IAF in June 1980. Prior to taking over as DCAS, Air Marshal Bhadauria was Senior Air Staff Officer at Central Air Command of IAF.
एयर मार्शल राकेश कुमार सिंह भदोरिया ने भारतीय वायु सेना (आईएएफ) के उपप्रमुख (डीसीएएस) का कार्यभार सम्भाल लिया । वे राष्ट्रीय रक्षा अकादमी के पूर्व छात्र हैं और वे 1980 में भारतीय वायुसेना में शामिल हुए। डीसीएएस का पद भार ग्रहण करने से पहले एयर मार्शल भदोरिया भारतीय वायु सेना की सेंट्रल कमान में सीनियर एयर स्टॉफ ऑफीसर थे।
2. A Financing Agreement for IDA credit of US$ 50 million (equivalent) for the “Nai Manzil- Education and Skills Training for Minorities” was signed here with the World Bank. The Financing Agreement was signed by Mr. Raj Kumar, Joint Secretary, Department of Economic Affair (DEA) on behalf of the Government of India and by Mr. Michael Haney, World Bank’s Operations Adviser in India on behalf of the World Bank.
‘नई मंजिल- अल्पसंख्यकों के लिए शिक्षा एवं कौशल प्रशिक्षण’ हेतु 50 मिलियन अमेरिकी डॉलर (समतुल्य) के आईडीए ऋण के लिए यहां विश्व बैंक के साथ एक वित्तपोषण समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर किए गए। भारत सरकार की ओर से आर्थिक मामलों के विभाग (डीईए) में संयुक्त सचिव श्री राज कुमार और विश्व बैंक की ओर से भारत में विश्व बैंक के परिचालन सलाहकार श्री माइकल हैनी ने इस वित्तपोषण समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर किए।

4. Electronic motor insurance policies are legally accepted by the police and transport authorities in Telangana from 02 Jan 2016, making it the first state in the country to do so. The e-Vahan Bima, an electronic motor insurance policy issued in digital form with Quick Response (QR) code, has been formally launched here by the Minister for IT, K T Ramarao.
तेलंगाना 2 जनवरी 2016 से पुलिस और परिवहन अधिकारियों ने इलेक्ट्रॉनिक मोटर बीमा पॉलिसियों को स्वीकार करना प्रारंभ कर दिया है इस प्रकार इसे कानूनी रूप से मान्यता प्रदान करने वाला देश का यह पहला राज्य बन गया है। ई-वाहन बीमा, एक इलेक्ट्रॉनिक मोटर बीमा पॉलिसी है जो त्वरित प्रतिक्रिया (क्यूआर) कोड के साथ डिजिटल रूप में जारी की जाती है, इसका औपचारिक उद्घाटन आईटी मंत्री, के.टी. रामाराव ने किया।
5. To put an end to recent controversies surrounding the Censor Board, the Centre has set up a Committee headed by noted film-maker Shyam Benegal to work out a revamp plan and submit its report within two months.The other members of the Committee are Hindi film director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, adman Piyush Pandey, film critic Bhawana Somaaya, Nina Lath Gupta of National Film Development Corporation and Joint Secretary (Films).

6. Arunima Sinha, the amputee mountaineer who set a record by climbing the Mount Everest, has added another feather in her cap by conquering Mount Aconcagua in Argentina. Aconcagua is the highest mountain outside Asia, at 6,960.8 metres, and by extension, the highest point in both the Western Hemisphere and the Southern Hemisphere.
ऐम्प्युटी पर्वतारोही अरुणिमा सिन्हा जिन्होंने माउंट एवरेस्ट पर चढ़ाई करके एक रिकॉर्ड बनाया है, ने अर्जेंटीना में माउंट एकांकागुआ पर फतह करके एक और उपलब्धि हासिल की है। एकांकागुआ 6,960.8 मीटर की ऊँचाई के साथ, एशिया के बाहर सबसे ऊंचा पर्वत है, और पश्चिमी गोलार्ध और दक्षिणी गोलार्ध दोनों का उच्चतम बिंदु भी है।
7. Giving final touches to the Supreme Court-appointed committee’s report on reforms in the BCCI and the Indian cricket administration, the former Chief Justice of India, R.M. Lodha, has said the theme of the report remains the purity of the game. Justice Lodha, the chairperson of the three-member committee, said the report would be first filed in the Supreme Court Registry on January 4.
बीसीसीआई और भारतीय क्रिकेट प्रशासन में सुधारों पर सुप्रीम कोर्ट द्वारा नियुक्त समिति की रिपोर्ट को अंतिम रूप देते हुये भारत के पूर्व मुख्य न्यायाधीश लोढ़ा ने कहा है कि रिपोर्ट का विषय खेल की पवित्रता ही रहेगा। तीन सदस्यीय समिति के अध्यक्ष न्यायमूर्ति लोढ़ा ने कहा है कि रिपोर्ट पहली बार 4 जनवरी को सुप्रीम कोर्ट रजिस्ट्री में दायर की जाएगी।
8. Public lender IDBI Bank has said that it has raised Rs. 900 crore by way of issuing Basel-III compliant tier-II bonds. The instrument — IDBI Omni Tier-II 2015-16 series-II — carries a coupon rate of 8.62 per cent per annum. The bond maturity date is January 2, 2026.
सार्वजनिक ऋणदाता आईडीबीआई बैंक ने कहा है कि इसने बेसल-III के अनुरूप टियर-II बांड जारी करने के द्वारा 900 करोड़ रुपए जुटाये हैं। इस लिखत - आईडीबीआई ओमनी टीयर-II 2015-16 श्रृंखला-II- पर प्रतिवर्ष 8.62 फीसदी की कूपन दर रखी गयी है। बांड परिपक्वता की तिथि 2 जनवरी 2026 है।
9. In a first, the government has decided to field indigenously developed combat aircraft Tejas for the fourth edition of Bahrain International Air Show (BIAS). To be held from January 21-23, BIAS will also see participation of Pakistan’s JF-17 fighter produced with Chinese help. India will also send IAF Sarang helicopter display team that flies indigenous Dhruv helicopters and DRDO’s airborne early warning and control platform.
पहली बार, सरकार ने स्वदेश विकसित लड़ाकू विमान तेजस को बहरीन इंटरनेशनल एयर शो (बीआईएएस) के चौथे संस्करण में भेजने का फैसला किया है। 21-23 जनवरी के दौरान आयोजित होने वाले बीआईएएस में चीन की मदद से पाकिस्तान द्वारा निर्मित जेएफ -17 लड़ाकू विमान भी भाग लेंगे। भारत स्वदेशी ध्रुव हेलीकाप्टरों और डीआरडीओ के एयरबोर्न अर्ली वार्निंग एंड कंट्रोल मंच को उड़ाने वाली भारतीय वायु सेना की सारंग हेलीकाप्टर प्रदर्शन टीम भी भेजेगा।
10. India’s e-commerce market is likely to touch $38 billion mark in 2016, a massive jump over the $23 billion revenues clocked by the industry in 2015, according to an Assocham study.
एसोचैम के एक अध्ययन के अनुसार, भारत का ई-कॉमर्स बाजार 2016 में 38 अरब डॉलर के आंकड़े को छू सकता है, जो कि 2015 में उद्योग द्वारा कमाए राजस्व से 23 अरब डॉलर के राजस्व पर एक भारी वृद्धि होगी।
