1. Amitabh Kant, secretary in the department of industrial policy and promotion, has been appointed as the chief executive officer (CEO) of the NITI Aayog. He will take over the job after his retirement from service in February end. Kant has been appointed in place of former IAS officer Sindhushree Khullar, who was appointed as the first CEO of the Niti Aayog.
अमिताभ कांत जो औद्योगिक नीति और संवर्धन विभाग में सचिव हैं को नीति आयोग का मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी (सीईओ) नियुक्त किया गया है। सेवा से उनकी सेवानिवृत्ति के बाद वह फरवरी के अंत में इस पद पर सेवारत होंगे। कांत को पूर्व आईएएस अधिकारी सिंधुश्री खुल्लर के स्थान पर नियुक्त किया गया है जिनको नीति आयोग के पहले सीईओ के रूप में नियुक्त किया गया था।
2. Devender Kumar Sikri, Gujarat's former IAS officer, has been appointed as Chairman of fair-trade regulator Competition Commission of India (CCI). He succeeds Ashok Chawla. Sikri will have a tenure of about two and half years, i.e. till he attains the age of 65 years.
गुजरात के पूर्व आईएएस अधिकारी देवेंद्र कुमार सीकरी को निष्पक्ष व्यापार नियामक भारतीय प्रतिस्पर्धा आयोग (सीसीआई) के अध्यक्ष के रूप में नियुक्त किया गया है। वह अशोक चावला का स्थान लेंगे। सीकरी का कार्यकाल लगभग ढाई वर्ष का होगा, अर्थात जब वह 65 वर्ष की आयु प्राप्त कर लेंगे।
3. Pavan Kapoor has been appointed as India’s new ambassador to Israel. He is a 1990 batch Indian Foreign Service officer. At present Pavan Kapoor is working as the high commissioner in East Africa's Maputo.
पवन कपूर को इजराइल में नए भारतीय राजदूत के रुप में नियुक्त किया गया है। वह 1990 बैच के भारतीय विदेश सेवा के अधिकारी हैं। वर्तमान में पवन कपूर पूर्वी अफ्रिका के मापुटो में उच्चायुक्त के रूप में कार्य कर रहे हैं।
4. Dr. Achyuta Samanta has been elected as the General President of the 105th Indian Science Congress Association (ISCA) that is scheduled for 2017-18. Samanta is also currently serving as member of Executive Council of Indian Science Congress Association (ISCA).
डॉ. अच्युत सामंत को 2017-18 के लिए निर्धारित 105वीं भारतीय विज्ञान कांग्रेस संघ (आईएससीए) के जनरल प्रेसिडेंट के रूप में निर्वाचित किया गया है। सामंत वर्तमान में भारतीय विज्ञान कांग्रेस संघ (आईएससीए) के कार्यकारी परिषद के सदस्य के रूप में भी सेवारत हैं।
5. The Union Cabinet approved the conversion of MUDRA Ltd, a non- banking financial company (NBFC), into MUDRA Bank. This bank thus will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of SIDBI.
केन्द्रीय मंत्रिमंडल ने मुद्रा लिमिटेड, जोकि वर्तमान में एक गैर-बैंकिंग वित्त कम्पनी (एनबीएफसी) के रूप में कार्य कर रहा है, को एक बैंक में तब्दील करने के प्रस्ताव को अपनी स्वीकृति प्रदान कर दी। मुद्रा बैंक सिडबी के पूर्ण स्वामित्व वाला बैंक होगा।
6. India and France started their eight-day counter-terrorism and counter-insurgency joint exercise Shakti-2016 in Rajasthan. This is the third edition in the series of bilateral exercises under this banner and is being held in Mahajan Field Firing Ranges in Rajasthan's Bikaner. It is an important step for the armies to train together and gain from each other's rich operational experience.
भारत और फ़्रांस ने आठ दिवसीय आतंकवाद विरोधी और उग्रवाद रोधी संयुक्त सैन्य अभ्यास शक्ति-2016 राजस्थान में आरंभ किया। इसका आयोजन राजस्थान के बीकानेर स्थित महाजन फील्ड फायरिंग रेंज में किया जा रहा है। यह इस बैनर के तहत द्विपक्षीय अभ्यास की श्रृंखला में तीसरा संस्करण है। भारत-फ्रांस संयुक्त आतंकवाद निरोधक अभ्यास एक महत्वपूर्ण कदम है, जिससे दोनों देशों की सेनाओं को संयुक्त रूप से प्रशिक्षण और अति अहम ऑपरेशनल अनुभव प्राप्त होगा।
7. The Reserve Bank of India Governor Raghuram Rajan was felicitated with the Central Banker of the Year Award (Global and Asia Pacific) for 2016. The award was given by the Financial Times Group's monthly publication The Banker. The Central Banker of the Year 2016 Awards celebrates the officials that have best managed to stimulate growth and stabilise their country's economy.
भारतीय रिज़र्व बैंक के गवर्नर रघुराम राजन को वर्ष 2016 के लिए सेंट्रल बैंकर ऑफ़ द इयर अवार्ड (ग्लोबल एंड एशिया पसिफ़िक) से सम्मानित किया गया। यह पुरस्कार फाइनेंशियल टाइम्स ग्रुप के मासिक प्रकाशन द बैंकर द्वारा दिया गया। सेंट्रल बैंकर ऑफ़ द इयर 2016 पुरस्कार उन अधिकारियों को दिया जाता है जिन्होंने देश की अर्थव्यवस्था को स्थिर बनाने तथा उसके विकास में योगदान दिया हो।
8. The Rajasthan Government signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Cairn Enterprise Centre Society, supported by oil and gas exploration company Cairn India. The MoU aims at providing clean drinking water in Barmer district.
राजस्थान सरकार ने बाड़मेर जिले में स्वच्छ पीने के पानी के लिए तेल एवं गैस खनन कंपनी केयर्न इंडिया द्वारा समर्थित केयर्न एंटरप्राइज सेंटर सोसायटी के साथ एक समझौता ज्ञापन (एमओयू) पर हस्ताक्षर किए हैं।
