1. Union Minister of Science & Technology and Earth Sciences Dr. Harsh Vardhan inaugurated the new user-friendly website of IMD and dedicated to the nation the System of Aerosol Monitoring And Research (SAMAR) which is a network of 16 Aethalometers, 12 Sky radiometers and 12 Nephelometers.
विज्ञान एवं प्रौद्योगिकी तथा पृथ्वी विज्ञान मंत्री डॉ. हर्ष वर्धन ने भारत मौसम विभाग (आईएमडी) की नई वेबसाइट का उद्धाटन किया और एयरोसॉल निगरानी एवं अनुसंधान प्रणाली (समर) को राष्ट्र को समर्पित किया। इस प्रणाली में 16 एथेलोमीटर, 12 स्काई रेडियोमीटर और 12 नेफेलोमीटर शामिल हैं।

8. China sent a Belarusian telecom satellite into intended orbit from southwest China's Xichang Satellite Launch Center at Beijing. The satellite, carried by a Long March-3B rocket, is Belarus' first communication satellite, and this was also the first time that China had launched a satellite for a European country. The Belintersat-1 was built by China Aerospace Science and Technology Corp. with a designed life of 15 years.
चीन ने दक्षिण पश्चिम चीन के जिचांग उपग्रह प्रक्षेपण केंद्र से निर्धारित कक्षा में बेलारूस का एक दूरसंचार उपग्रह प्रक्षेपित किया। इस उपग्रह को लॉन्ग मार्च-थ्रीबी रॉकेट के जरिए छोड़ा गया। यह बेलारूस का पहला दूरसंचार उपग्रह है और चीन ने पहली बार किसी यूरोपीय देश के किसी उपग्रह का प्रक्षेपण किया है। बेलइंटरसैट-1 चीनी अंतरिक्ष विज्ञान एवं प्रौद्योगिकी निगम द्वारा निर्मित है। इस उपग्रह का जीवन काल 15 वर्षो का होगा।

10. China will send a new lunar mission in 2018 to the dark side of the moon which is not yet explored by humans. The Chang’e-4 probe will be the first mission in human history to embark on this expedition.
