The 2016 Grammy Awards ceremony held on February 15, 2016, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.
In one of the longest performances on the Grammy Award stage, Lady Gaga paid tribute to the late David Bowie by sporting the rock star's various looks along with singing his hits.
The rocker died January 10 after battling cancer. He was 69.
Gaga, 29, started her tribute on the red carpet by channeling Bowie in a hot red wig, blue glitter make up and a custom blue Marc Jacobs' dress, paying homage to Bowie's Ziggy Stardust persona. She then took music lovers through Bowie's extensive repertoire, performing songs such as "Space Oddity," "Changes," "Suffragette City" and of course "Fashion."
Bowie was also honored at the Grammy Awards posthumously with a Lifetime Achievement Award.
Singer Miguel paid a musical tribute to King of Pop, Michael Jackson, at the 58th Grammy Awards by crooning his classic ballad, "She's Out of My Life".
Miguel was joined by a special accompanist for the performance, Greg Phillinganes, who was the song's original keyboardist.
While 30-year-old Miguel crooned, video of MJ singing the song played behind him, reported Billboard.
Noting that it has been 35 years since Jackson won his first Grammy, Miguel also pointed out that Spike Lee, who previously directed a documentary about Jackson's seminal "Bad" album, was releasing an "Off the Wall" documentary this year.
Released in 1980, "She's Out of My Life" peaked at number 10 on the Billboard Hot 100. It was a part of Jackson's 1979 album "Off the Wall".
Taylor Swift received the Album of the Year Grammy Award for 1989 , while Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars' "Uptown Funk" won Record of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.
Other winners include: Ed Sheeran and Amy Wadge (Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance for "Thinking Out Loud"); Kendrick Lamar (Best Rap Album for To Pimp a Butterfly and Best Rap Performance for "Alright"); Meghan Trainor (Best New Artist); Chris Stapleton (Best Country Album, Traveller); Alabama Shakes (Best Rock Song for "Don't Wanna Fight"); D'Angelo and Kendra Foster (Best R&B Song, "Really Love); Skrillex and Diplo with Justin Bieber (Best Dance Recording for "Where Are U Now"); and Hamilton (Best Musical Theater Album).
