1. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated ‘Make in India Week’ in Mumbai. Over 2,500 international and 8,000 Indian companies are scheduled to participate in the exhibition which will go on for a week.

2. India's Ambassador to Tajikistan Biraja Prasad passed away. Biraja Prasad, a 1998 batch Indian Foreign Service officer of Odisha, was the youngest IFS officer to be appointed as India's Ambassador to any country.
ताजिकिस्तान में भारत के राजदूत बिराजा प्रसाद का निधन हो गया। राजदूत बिराजा प्रसाद ओडिशा के वर्ष 1998 बैच के एक भारतीय विदेश सेवा अधिकारी थे। बिराजा प्रसाद किसी भी देश में भारतीय राजदूत के रूप में नियुक्त किए जाने वाले सबसे कम उम्र के आईएफएस अधिकारी थे।

10. Retail inflation in January inched up to a 17-month high of 5.69 per cent, led mainly by a sharp acceleration in food prices.
