1. Egyptian former foreign minister Ahmed Abul-Gheit was appointed as the new secretary general of the Arab League. According to Article 12 of the Arab League Pact, the secretary general is to be appointed upon the vote of two-thirds of the member states. Currently it has 21 members.
मिस्र के पूर्व विदेश मंत्री अहमद अबुल-गेइत अरब लीग के नए प्रमुख नियुक्त किए गए हैं। उनकी नियुक्ति महासचिव के पद पर हुई है।अरब लीग पैक्ट के अनुच्छेद 12 के अनुसार, अरब लीग के महासचिव की नियुक्ति सदस्य देशों के दो-तिहाई मतों से होती है। फिलहाल इसके सदस्यों की संख्या 21 है।
2. Union Government appointed former Supreme Court judge Justice Balbir Singh Chauhan as the chairperson of the 21st Law Commission. At present, Justice Chauhan is heading the Cauvery River Water Disputes Tribunal.
केंद्र सरकार ने सुप्रीम कोर्ट के पूर्व न्यायाधीश बलबीर सिंह चौहान को 21वें विधि आयोग का अध्यक्ष नियुक्त किया। फ़िलहाल न्यायाधीश चौहान कावेरी नदी जल विवाद न्यायाधिकरण की अध्यक्षता कर रहे हैं।
3. The Minister of Road Transport & Highways and Shipping Shri Nitin Gadkari launched the Highway Advisory System (HAS) as a pilot project on the Delhi-Jaipur Highway, NH-8, in New Delhi. HAS is a free-to-air information distribution system that uses radio to make the travelling experience on National Highways safer, faster and hassle-free.
केंद्रीय सड़क परिवहन, राजमार्ग एवं जहाजरानी मंत्री नितिन गडकरी ने सड़क सुरक्षा की दिशा में एक पहल के तहत दिल्ली-जयपुर राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग संख्या आठ पर एक पायलट परियोजना के रूप में राजमार्ग परामर्श प्रणाली (एचएएस) की शुरुआत की। एचएएस एक फ्री-टू-एयर जानकारी वितरण प्रणाली है जो राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग पर यात्रा अनुभव को सुरक्षित, तेज और बाधा मुक्त बनाए जाने के लिए रेडियो में इस्तेमाल की जाती है।
4. Indian Railways signed Locomotives Export Contract with Myanmar Railways.

5. The Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has given its approval for the amendment to the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act, 1957 (MMDR Act, 1957). The amendment will allow transfer of captive mining leases not granted through auction.
प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेन्द्र मोदी की अध्यक्षता में केंद्रीय मंत्रिमंडल (कैबिनेट) ने खान और खनिज (विकास एवं विनियमन) अधिनियम, 1957 (एमएमडीआर अधिनियम, 1957) में संशोधन को अपनी स्वीकृति दे दी है। इस संशोधन के तहत कैप्टिव माइनिंग वाले उन पट्टों का हस्तांतरण करने की इजाजत दी गई है, जिन्हें नीलामी के जरिये मंजूरी नहीं दी गई है।
6. ISRO's sixth navigation satellite IRNSS-1F was successfully launched onboard PSLV C32 from the spaceport.

7. The International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) said that Finland's Tampere will host 2018 U-20 World Atheletics Championship.
