1. Fitch Ratings lowered India's economic growth forecast for the financial year 2016-17 to 7.7 per cent, but maintained the GDP projection for current fiscal at 7.5 per cent.

2. The Minister of Women and Child Development, Smt Maneka Sanjay Gandhi launched “Mahila e-Haat”, an online marketing platform for women. Mahila e-Haat is a unique online platform where participants can display their products.
