This is the Junior Management Level direct entry point for dynamic young graduates. A probationary officer gets exposed to challenging assignments and also gets the opportunity to involve in pioneering technological and financial activities for the Indian Banking industry. The opportunities include working in the various departments of SBI ranging from Personal Banking to Rural Banking, Credit, Forex, Treasury etc. to name a few.
Annual recruitment exercise is conducted for the post of Probationary Officers for SBI and separately for Probationary Officers in Associate Banks of SBI. The advertisements are generally announced in the month of April & September respectively.

Selection Procedure
The examination will be held in two phases preliminary and main. Candidates who will qualify in preliminary examination and shortlisted will have to appear for Main examination and shortlisted candidates in the main examination will subsequently be called for a Group Discussion & Interview.
