भारत और बांग्लादेश ने 1,320 मेगावाट के कोयला आधारित विद्युत संयंत्र के निर्माण के लिये एक ऐतिहासिक समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर किए। यह दोनों देशों के बीच सहयोग से बनने वाली सबसे बड़ी परियोजना होगी। इससे दोनों देशों के बीच सहयोग बिजली के निर्यात से विद्युत उत्पादन की तरफ बढ़ गया है।
