प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी, रूसी राष्ट्रपति ब्लादिमीर पुतिन और तमिलनाडु की मुख्यमंत्री जे जयललिता ने 1,000 मेगावाट की क्षमता वाले कुडनकुलम परमाणु बिजली संयत्र-1 को संयुक्त रूप से राष्ट्र को समर्पित किया तथा भरोसा दिलाया कि यह दुनिया के सबसे अधिक सुरक्षित परमाणु संयंत्रों में से एक है।
