The results of CGLE 2016 (Tier-I) have been uploaded by the Commission on its website www.ssc.nic.in on 8-11-2016 declaring 1,49,319 candidates qualified for Tier-II of the said examination. It has been brought to the notice of the Commission that names of some of the candidates are repeatedly appearing in the list of successful candidates bearing different roll numbers.
In this regard, it is clarified that roll numbers of candidates in respect of East Region (comprising West Bengal, Jharkhand, Orissa and Sikkim) and Karnataka-Kerala Region (comprising Karnataka and Kerala) have been assigned in alphabetical order, i.e. names appearing in the order in which words appear in dictionary. Accordingly, the names of successful candidates from these two Regions in the result also appear in similar manner. Each name appearing in the result is a separate identity with the unique roll number. The candidates are assured that the result is correct in all respects.
