1. According to the Forbes India Celebrity 100 List 2016(Annual Earnings), Salman Khan(Rs 270.33 crore) is on top position followed by Shahrukh Khan(Rs 221.75 crore) and Virat Kohli (Rs 134.44 crore). While Deepika ranked 6th and Priyanka stood at 8th in the list.

4. The 5th Session of India - Kazakhstan Joint Working Group on Trade & Economic Cooperation was held in New Delhi on 22-23 December. Both countries expressed satisfaction by signing Free Trade Agreement between Eurasian Economic Union & India.
भारत- कज़ाकस्तान के व्यापार एवं आर्थिक सहयोग पर संयुक्त कार्य समूह का 5 वाँ सत्र 22-23 दिसंबर को नई दिल्ली में आयोजित किया गया। दोनों देशों ने यूरेशियन आर्थिक संघ और भारत के बीच मुक्त व्यापार समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर करने पर सहमती व्यक्त की।
5. The Government of India has launched Lucky Grahak Yojana for Consumers and Digi-Dhan Vyapar Yojana for Merchants in order to encourage digital payment methods on 25 December at Vigyan Bhavan. The schemes will be implemented by National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI).

6. Technology major Google has announced the launch of its free high-speed Wi-Fi at Udhagamandalam, Ooty making it the 100th railway station in India with the service.

7. The UN Security Council adopted a resolution demanding an end to Israeli settlements, despite Israel urging the US to veto the resolution. This is the first resolution adopted by UNSC on the Israel-Palestine issue in nearly 8 years.

8. The Ministry of Textiles has decided to establish a “Bunkar Mitra-Handloom Helpline Centre” where professional queries of weavers will be answered by the experts in the field. This helpline will function from 10.00 a.m to 6 p.m. and initially it will be provided in 7 languages viz., Hindi, English, and 5 other regional languages (Telugu, Tamil, Kannada Bengali & Assamese).

9. The Ministry of External Affairs announced revised passport application rules, under which producing birth certificate is not mandatory and Aadhar cards will be accepted as proof of birth.
विदेश मंत्रालय ने पासपोर्ट आवेदन नियमों में संशोधन करने की घोषणा की, जिसके अंतर्गत जन्म प्रमाण पत्र के उत्पादन अनिवार्य नहीं है जबकि आधार कार्ड को जन्म के सबूत के रूप में स्वीकार किया जा सकेगा।
10. The National Green Tribunal (NGT) imposed a complete ban on burning of waste in open places across the country and announced a fine of Rs. 25,000 on each incident of bulk waste burning.
नेशनल ग्रीन ट्रिब्यूनल (एनजीटी) ने देश भर में, खुले स्थानों में कचरे के जलाये जाने पर पूर्ण प्रतिबंध लगाया है और ऐसा करने वालों पर 25000 रुपये का जुर्माना लगाने की भी घोषणा की।
