Coca-Cola India names TKK Krishnakumar as president
Beverages major Coca-Cola announced appointment of T KK Krishnakumar as president of its India & South West Asia Business Unit replacing Venkatesh Kini who will exit the company after heading it for over 3 years.
Coca-Cola said the new structure will become effective from May 1.

Kotak Mahindra Bank to buy out partner Old Mutual for Rs 1292
Private sector lender Kotak Mahindra Bank (KMB) announced that it is buying out British partner Old Mutuals entire 26 per cent stake in its life insurance arm for Rs 1,292.7 crore.
In line with its philosophy to deepen and expand in Indian financial services, KMB has entered into an agreement to purchase the entire 26 per cent equity stake held by Old Mutual in Kotak Mahindra Old Mutual Life Insurance for a consideration of Rs 1,292.7 crore, the bank said in a statement.

El Salvador becomes first country in world to ban mining of metals
El Salvador has became the first country in the world to ban the mining of metals in what campaigners called a landmark move for environmental protection.
The new law entered into force after being signed by President Salvador Sanchez Ceren.
