India jumps 12 spots in WEF’s global travel & tourism ranking
India has jumped 12 places to 40th rank globally in travel and tourism competitiveness list by World Economic Forum.
India is one of the countries that improved the most as it gained 12 places in Asia, but lagged behind its other Asian peers like Japan and China which were ranked way ahead at 4th and 13th place, respectively. Spain is ranked at the top in the list.
विश्व आर्थिक मंच की यात्रा पर्यटन रैंकिंग में भारत का 40वां स्थान
विश्व आर्थिक मंच की वैश्विक यात्रा एवं पर्यटन प्रतिस्पर्धात्मकता सूची में भारत ने 12 स्थान की छलांग लगाकर 40वां स्थान पाया है।
भारत रैंकिंग में सबसे अधिक सुधार करने वाले देशों में से एक है। एशिया में इसका स्थान 12वां रहा है। वैश्विक सूूची में चीन और जापान की स्थिति भारत से बेहतर है। इनका स्थान क्रमश: 13वां और चौथा है। इसमें पहले स्थान पर स्पेन है। जबकि दूसरे स्थान पर फ्रांस और तीसरे पर जर्मनी है।
India's growth to accelerate to 7.4% in 2017-18: ADB
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) said that India's growth rate will improve to 7.4 per cent during 2017-18 and go up further to 7.6 per cent in the next financial year, remaining ahead of China.
"The impact of the demonetisation of high-value banknotes is dissipating as the replacement banknotes enter circulation.

एशियाई विकास बैंक :एडीबी: ने आज कहा कि भारत की आर्थिक वृद्धि दर 2017-18 में सुधरकर 7.4 प्रतिशत और इससे अगले वित्त वर्ष में और बढ़कर 7.6 प्रतिशत रह सकती है। इस प्रकार आर्थिक वृद्धि के मामले में भारत चीन से आगे बना रहेगा।
एडीबी के अग्रणी आर्थिक प्रकाशन ‘एशियाई विकास परिदृश्य’ में कहा गया है, ‘‘उच्च मूल्य वर्ग के नोटों को चलन से हटाने से अर्थव्यवस्था पर पड़ने वाला प्रभाव नये बैंक नोटों के आने के साथ समाप्त हो रहा है।

But in 2012 it reached an agreement with the United States to almost triple the range of its ballistic missile systems to guard against the North's nuclear threats, and has since been developing missiles with longer ranges.

The Pulitzer Prize-winning novelist is scheduled to be presented with the American Academy of Arts and Sciences' Emerson-Thoreau Medal.
The prize was established in 1958 and is awarded to individuals to recognize a lifetime of literary achievements.

वर्ष 1958 में स्थापित यह पुरस्कार साहित्यिक उपलब्धिों के लिए प्रदान किया जाता है।
