Swiss mountaineer Ueli Steck dies on Everest
Swiss climber Ueli Steck, one of the most feted mountaineers of his generation and famed for his speed ascents of iconic Alpine routes, has died on Everest.
Steck, 40, was on Everest to acclimatise before attempting to summit the world's tallest peak in May, using a never before climbed route.

‘स्विस मशीन’ के नाम से मशहूर स्तेक मई में एक ऐसे मार्ग से दुनिया की सबसे उंची चोटी सर करने की कोशिश करना चाहते थे जिसे अभी तक किसी ने इस्तेमाल नहीं किया है।
Shiv Kapur ends 12-year-wait for Asian Tour title
Indian golfer Shiv Kapur ended a 12-year wait for his second Asian Tour title when he turned in a blemish-free eight-under 64 in the final round to clinch the inaugural Yeangder Heritage.
Kapur was three-under for the front-nine and five-under for last seven holes to card 64 to finish as the clubhouse leader at 16-under 272.
शिव कपूर ने 12 साल बाद जीता एशियाई टूर खिताब
भारतीय गोल्फर शिव कपूर ने अंतिम दौर में आठ अंडर 64 का बेहतरीन स्कोर बनाकर पहला यींगडर हैरिटेज गोल्फ टूर्नामेंट जीतकर एशियाई टूर खिताब के लिये पिछले 12 वर्षों से चला आ रहा इंतजार खत्म किया।
कपूर ने पहले नौ होल में तीन अंडर का स्कोर बनाया। उन्होंने अंतिम सात होल में से पांच में स्कोर किया और आखिर में कुल 16 अंडर 272 के स्कोर के साथ शीर्ष पर रहे।

ईस्ट बंगाल के पूर्व कप्तान सांतो मित्रा का निधन हो गया। मित्रा 75 वर्ष के थे।
मित्रा ने 1965 से 1972 से ईस्ट बंगाल का प्रतिनिधित्व किया था और क्लब के लिये देश के सभी शीर्ष टूर्नामेंट जीते।
