Harinder Rao appointed GM of Eastern Railway
Senior bureaucrats Harinder Rao and Anil K Gupta have been appointed as General Manager (GM) of the Eastern and the Western Railway zone respectively.
Both Rao and Gupta are officers of the Indian Railway Service of Electrical Engineers (IRSEE).
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved their appointments to the post.

वरिष्ठ नौकरशाह हरिंदर राव और अनिल के गुप्ता क्रमश: रेलवे के पूर्वी और पश्चिमी जोन के महाप्रबंधक नियुक्त किये गये हैं।
राव और गुप्ता दोनों ही भारतीय रेलवे इलेक्ट्रिकल इंजीनियर सेवा के अधिकारी हैं।
कार्मिक एवं प्रशिक्षण विभाग के आदेश के अनुसार नियुक्ति से संबंधित मंत्रिमंडल की समिति :एसीसी: ने इस पद पर उनकी नियुक्तियां मंजूर कीं।
I-T department launches new facility to link Aadhaar with PAN
The Income Tax department has launched a new e-facility to link a person's Aadhaar with the Permanent Account Number+ (PAN), a mandatory procedure for filing I-T returns now.
The department's e-filing website -- https://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in -- has created a new link on its homepage making it "easy" to link the two unique identities of an individual.
पैन से आधार कार्ड जोड़ने के लिए आयकर विभाग ने शुरू की नयी सुविधा
आयकर विभाग ने व्यक्यिों की स्थायी खाता संख्या (पैन) को उनके आधार कार्ड से जोड़ने की एक नयी ई-सुविधा शुरू की है। उल्लेखनीय है कि सरकार ने आयकर रिटर्न दाखिल करने के लिए पैन संख्या के साथ साथ आधार संख्या भी अनिवार्य कर दिया है।
आयकर विभाग की ई-फाइलिंग वेबसाइट इनकमटैक्सइंडियाईफाइलिंग डॉट जीओवी डॉट इन पर एक नया लिंक शुरू किया है। इससे व्यक्तियों को अपने दोनों विशिष्ट पहचान पत्रों को जोड़ने में आसानी होगी।

Hubert Minnis emerged as the Bahamas' next prime minister in general elections that saw incumbent Perry Christie concede defeat.
Christie, leader of Progressive Liberal Party, conceded defeat in a statement in which he said he had made a congratulatory telephone call to Minnis wishing the leader of the Free National Movement success.

प्रोग्रेसिव लिबरल पार्टी के नेता पेरी क्रिस्टी ने एक बयान में हार स्वीकार कर ली और कहा कि उन्होंने फ्री नेशनल मूवमेंट के नेता मिनिस को फोन करके जीत की बधाई दी है।
