Smriti Irani unveils world's largest cushion

Union Textiles Minister Smriti Irani unveiled the world’s largest cushion at an exhibition at New Delhi. 

At the inauguration of the Heimtexil India fair, Irani said India’s home textile business this year has contributed 12 per cent to the country’s overall shipments globally. A total of 180 companies from India, Bangladesh, China, Korea, Thailand and Nepal are participating in the Heimtexil and Ambiente India 2017 fair.

केंद्रीय कपड़ा मंत्री स्मृति ईरानी ने नई दिल्ली में आयोजित एक प्रदर्शनी में विश्व के सबसे बड़े कुशन का अनावरण किया।

यहां आयोजित हीमटेक्सिल इंडिया फेयर के उद्घाटन के अवसर पर स्मृति ने कहा कि इस साल भारत में घरेलू कपड़ा कारोबार ने देश के समग्र वैश्विक निर्यात में 12 प्रतिशत का योगदान दिया है। हीमटेक्सिल इंडिया और एंबीएंटे इंडिया 2017 फेयर में भारत, बांग्लादेश, चीन, कोरिया, थाईलैंड और नेपाल की कुल 180 कंपनियां भागीदारी कर रही हैं।

UNICEF names first goodwill ambassador who is a refugee

The U.N. children's agency announced the appointment of its youngest goodwill ambassador — 19-year-old Syrian refugee and education activist Muzoon Almellehan.

UNICEF Deputy Executive Director Justin Forsyth said that Muzoon is the first goodwill envoy with official refugee status.

                                    

यूनिसेफ ने अपने पहले सद्भावना दूत के नाम की घोषणा की , जो खुद एक शरणार्थी हैं

संयुक्त राष्ट्र की बच्चों के लिए काम करने वाली एजेंसी ने अपनी सबसे कम उम्र की सद्भावना दूत की नियुक्ति की घोषणा की है। सबसे युवा सद्भावना दूत मुजून अलमेल्लेहान सीरिया की शरणार्थी और शिक्षा कार्यकर्ता हैं।

यूनिसेफ के कार्यकारी उप निदेशक जस्टिन फोसर्थि ने कहा कि मुजून पहली सद्भावना दूत हैं और उनके पास शरणार्थी होने का आधिकारिक दर्जा है।

India re-nominates Justice Dalveer Bhandari for another term as ICJ judge

India has re-nominated Justice Dalveer Bhandari as its candidate for another term as judge at the International Court of Justice (ICJ), the principal judicial organ of the UN.

Bhandari, 69, was elected in April 2012 during simultaneous balloting in both the General Assembly and the Security Council to a seat on the International Court of Justice. His current term runs through February 2018.

                                           

भारत ने आईसीजे न्यायाधीश के लिए भंडारी को फिर नामित किया

भारत ने न्यायमूर्त दलवीर भंडारी को अंतरराष्ट्रीय न्यायालय के न्यायाधीश के एक और कार्यकाल के लिए नामित किया है।

भंडारी (69) को अप्रैल, 2012 में संयुक्त राष्ट्र महासभा और सुरक्षा परिषद में एक साथ हुए मतदान में अंतरराष्ट्रीय न्यायालय के लिए चुना गया था। उनका मौजूदा कार्यकाल फरवरी, 2018 तक है।

Tata Group and Lockheed Martin sign deal to manufacture F-16 fighter jets in India

Tata Group and American aerospace Major Lockheed Martin have signed an unprecedented deal to produce, operate and export the combat-proven F-16 fighter jets in India.

Under the deal, Lockheed will shift its Fort Worth, Texas plant to India without directly affecting American jobs. The agreement will boost Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Make in India' plan ahead of his first summit with US President Donald Trump.

                                       

टाटा समूह और लॉकहीड मार्टिन ने भारत में एफ-16 लड़ाकू विमानों के निर्माण के लिए सौदा किया

टाटा समूह और अमरीका की बड़ी विमानन कंपनी लॉकहीड मार्टिन ने भारत में एफ-16 लड़ाकू विमानों के निर्माण, संचालन और निर्यात से जुड़े महत्‍वपूर्ण समझौते पर हस्‍ताक्षर किए। 

अमरीकी नागरिकों का रोज़गार प्रत्यक्ष रूप से प्रभावित किये बिना लॉकहीड कंपनी टैक्‍सस में अपना फोर्टवर्थ संयंत्र भारत स्‍थानांतरित कर देगी। इस समझौते से अमरीकी राष्‍ट्रपति डोनल्‍ड ट्रम्‍प के साथ पहली शिखर वार्ता से पहले प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्‍द्र मोदी के मेक-इन-इंडिया कार्यक्रम को गति मिलेगी।
