1. CONTINUANCE (NOUN): duration

Synonyms: extension, period Antonyms: ending, finish

Example Sentence:

She will get all the privileges during his continuance in the service.


2. GRUBBY (ADJECTIVE): dirty

Synonyms: filthy, soiled Antonyms: clean, spotless

Example Sentence: 

His white coat was grubby and stained.


3. AVENGE (VERB): retaliate

Synonyms: vindicate, punish Antonyms: cheer, forgive

Example Sentence: 

Hamlet delayed avenging the murder of his father.


4. SATE (VERB): satisfy 

Synonyms: gratify, satiate Antonyms: abstain, deprive 

Example Sentence: 

He was sated with flying.


5. MACULATE (VERB): corrupt, violate 

Synonyms: besmirch, degrade Antonyms: honour, praise
