1.) Rahul sells two articles on the same price, on one article he calculated a profit of 25% on S.P and on other article he calculated a loss of 30% on C.P. If he gets a loss of Rs. 400 on overall transaction. Find the cost price of cheaper article.

2.) An election is conducted between two candidates in a city. 50000 enrolled voters did not cast their votes and only 80% of cast voters were valid. If the winning candidate won by 12200 votes, the losing candidate got 18% of the total valid votes and 26% of the enrolled voters vote NOTA, then find the total number of enrolled voters?
 (1.) 75000  (2) 90000    (3) 100000  (4) 150000  (5) 160000

3.) A shopkeeper mixes three varieties of sugar costing Rs. 30 per kg, Rs. 38 per kg. and Rs. 50 per kg. and sells the mixture at a profit of 25% at Rs. 50 per kg. How many kgs of second variety will be in the mixture if 4 kgs of the third variety is there in the mixture?

4.) Speed of a man during the second hour of his journey is one and half times of the speed by which he travel in the first hour and his speed in third hour is half of the sum of its speeds in first two hours. Had he travelled for three hours at the speed of the third hour, it would have travelled the same distance. Find the average speed of the man in the first hour if the total distance covered by him in three hour is 150 km.

S1: S2 = 2 : 3
2x + 3x = 50×2
S1 = 2x = 40

5.) Annu and Bhanu work together, to complete a piece of work in 12 days. If Annu starts the work and leave after he complete half of the work alone and Bhanu complete half of the remaining work, then the work will be complete in 25 days. Find the difference between the time taken by Annu and Bhanu to complete this work alone?
 (1.) 5          (2) 8            (3) 10          (4) 12          (5) 15

A + B = 2×25=50

A = (50 – B)
