Delhi University plans to introduce GST in the curriculum.
After Pune and Uttar Pradesh universities, the Delhi University is planning to include the Goods and Services Tax (GST) in its curriculum for students of B Com (Hons), B Com and B A Programme. A proposal for this been cleared by the university’s academic council and is awaiting a nod from the executive council. According to the proposal, students of B Com (Hons) in the sixth semester will be studying GST and Customs Law as a second paper. Students of B Com will study it in the fifth semester asa second paper with the same title. In the B A Programme, students will be studying GST in two papers (paper 3 and paper 4). It will be compulsory only for those B A Programme students who have Taxation as an optional subject.

पुणे और उत्तर प्रदेश विश्वविद्यालयों के बाद, दिल्ली विश्वविद्यालय बी कॉम (ऑनर्स), बी कॉम और बी ए प्रोग्राम के छात्रों के लिए अपने पाठ्यक्रम में गुड्स एंड सर्विसेज टैक्स (जीएसटी) को शामिल करने की योजना बना रहा है। इसके लिए एक प्रस्ताव को विश्वविद्यालय की शैक्षणिक परिषद द्वारा मंजूरी दे दी गयी है और कार्यकारी परिषद से मंजूरी अभी आना बाकी है। प्रस्ताव के अनुसार, छठे सेमेस्टर में बी कॉम (ऑनर्स) के छात्र जीएसटी और कस्टम्स लॉ को दूसरे पेपर के रूप में अध्ययन करेंगे। बी ए प्रोग्राम में, छात्र जीएसटी के दो पेपर (पेपर 3 और पेपर 4) का अध्ययन करेंगे। यह उन बी ए प्रोग्राम के छात्रों के लिए अनिवार्य होगा जो वैकल्पिक विषय के रूप में कराधान पढ़ते हैं।

John Kristick, a managing director of the failed U.S. bid to host the 2022 World Cup and a former executive of FIFA marketing partner Infront Sports & Media, has been hired as executive director for the United Bid Committee of the U.S., Mexico, and Canada to host the 2026 tournament. FIFA’s decision on hosting the 2026 World Cup is expected in 2020.
