1. Nepal has signed an agreement with the US government’ Millennium Challenge Corporation to receive a grant worth USD 500 million in next five years to spur private investment and economic growth to reduce poverty in the country.
नेपाल ने निजी निवेश एवं आर्थिक वृद्धि को तेज करने तथा गरीबी घटाने के उद्देश्य से अमेरिकी सरकार के मिलेनियम चैलेंज कॉरपोरेशन के साथ अनुबंध पर हस्ताक्षर किया है। इसके तहत नेपाल को अगले पांच साल में 50 करोड़ डॉलर का अनुदान मिलेगा।
2. Senior bureaucrat Rajni Sekhri Sibal has been appointed the director general (DG) of the government-run National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development, in place of Vijay Kumar Dev.
वरिष्ठ नौकरशाह रजनी सेखरी सिब्बल को सरकार संचालित राष्ट्रीय उद्यमशीलता एवं लघु व्यापार विकास संस्थान का महानिदेशक नियुक्त किया गया है। उन्होंने विजय कुमार देव का स्थान लिया है।
