1. Jacques Dubochet, Joachim Frank and Richard Henderson have won the Nobel Prize in chemistry for the year 2017 for developing ‘cryo-electron microscopy for the high-resolution structure determination of biomolecules in solution.’

2. Reserve Bank of India has kept all the policy rates unchanged in its fourth bi-monthly Monetary Policy Review. However, the central bank has reduced the economic growth projection for the current financial year to 6.7 percent.

4. The Union Cabinet has given its approval for the signing and ratification of the Extradition Treaty between India and Lithuania. The Treaty would provide a legal framework for seeking extradition of terrorists, economic offenders and other criminals from and to Lithuania.
