1. According to the Global Passport Power Rank 2017 by global financial advisory firm Arton Capital, Singapore has the world's "most powerful" passport and in this way became the first Asian country to be included in this list with India figuring at 75th position, three notches better than its previous ranking. Germany is ranked second, followed by Sweden and South Korea in third place.
वैश्विक वित्तीय सलाहकार कंपनी आर्टोन कैपिटल द्वारा 'ग्लोबल पासपोर्ट पावर रैंक 2017' के अनुसार विश्व में सिंगापुर का पासपोर्ट सबसे 'सबसे शक्तशाली' है और इस तरह एक एशियाई देश पहली बार इस सूची में शामिल हुआ है। इस सूची में पिछले साल की तुलना में तीन पायदान की छलांग के साथ भारत 75 वें स्थान पर काबिज है। इस सूची में जर्मनी दूसरे स्थान पर और स्वीडन तथा दक्षिण कोरिया तीसरे स्थान पर है।
2. According to a study carried out by Trust Research Advisory (TRA), The Tata conglomerate is the only Indian brand to feature among the top five in the India's most attractive brands index, climbing three places to the fourth spot on the list which has been topped by South Korean consumer electronics maker Samsung.
ट्रस्ट रिसर्च एडवाइजरी (टीआरए) द्वारा किये गए अध्ययन के अनुसार, देश के सबसे आकर्षक ब्रांड सूचकांक में टाटा समूह ही शीर्ष पांच ब्रांडों में स्थान बनाने में कामयाब रहा है। टाटा ने तीन स्थानों की छलांग लगाई है और यह चौथे स्थान पर पहुंच गया है। इस सूचकांक में दक्षिण कोरिया का उपभोक्ता इलेक्ट्रानिक्स ब्रांड सैमसंग पहले स्थान पर है।

पद्म विभूषण से सम्मानित प्रख्यात शास्त्रीय गायिका गिरिजा देवी का निधन हो गया। वह 88 वर्ष की थीं।
4. Indian-origin campaigner Gina Miller has been named the UK’s most influential black person of the year. Gina Miller, topped the 2018 ‘Powerlist’ of 100 people of African and African Caribbean heritage, published in London by Powerful Media.
भारतीय मूल की प्रचारक गीना मिलर को इस वर्ष ब्रिटेन की सबसे प्रभावशाली अश्वेत व्यक्ति चुना गया है। अफ्रीकी और अफ्रीकी कैरेबियाई विरासत के 100 लोगों की 2018 ‘पॉवरलिस्ट’ में गीना मिलर शीर्ष पर हैं। 'पावरफुल मीडिया' ने यह सूची लंदन में प्रकाशित की।

10. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has constituted a 10-member high-level task force on public credit registry (PCR) for India. It will be chaired by Y M Deosthalee, former CMD of L&T Finance Holdings Ltd.
