Sharmila Tagore honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award
Famous actress Sharmila Tagore has been honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award by the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Sharmila was given the award for her contribution to the cinema at the Siri Fort Auditorium in New Delhi. The award was presented to her by Union Minister Jitendra Singh and Delhi BJP President and MP Manoj Tiwari.

मशहूर अदाकारा शर्मिला टैगोर को पीएचडी चैंबर ऑफ कॉमर्स एंड इंडस्ट्री द्वारा लाइफ टाइम अचीवमेंट पुरस्कार से नवाजा गया।
राजधानी के सिरी फोर्ट सभागार में शर्मिला को यह पुरस्कार सिनेमा में उनके योगदान के लिए दिया गया। उन्हें यह पुरस्कार केंद्रीय मंत्री जीतेंद्र सिंह और दिल्ली भाजपा के अध्यक्ष एवं सांसद मनोज तिवारी द्वारा प्रदान किया गया।

भारतीय मूल की प्रचारक गीना मिलर को इस वर्ष ब्रिटेन की सबसे प्रभावशाली अश्वेत व्यक्ति चुना गया है। अफ्रीकी और अफ्रीकी कैरेबियाई विरासत के 100 लोगों की 2018 ‘पॉवरलिस्ट’ में गीना मिलर शीर्ष पर हैं।
Tata among top five in India's most attractive brands index
According to a study carried out by Trust Research Advisory (TRA), The Tata conglomerate is the only Indian brand to feature among the top five in the India's most attractive brands index, climbing three places to the fourth spot on the list which has been topped by South
Korean consumer electronics maker Samsung.
The study took the opinions of about 2,450 consumers from 16 cities. Tata, which was at number 7 in 2016 is ranked at number 4 in India's Most Attractive Brands 2017 study.

देश के सबसे आकर्षक ब्रांड सूचकांक में टाटा शीर्ष पांच में
ट्रस्ट रिसर्च एडवाइजरी (टीआरए) द्वारा किये गए अध्ययन के अनुसार, देश के सबसे आकर्षक ब्रांड सूचकांक में टाटा समूह ही शीर्ष पांच ब्रांडों में स्थान बनाने में कामयाब रहा है। टाटा ने तीन स्थानों की छलांग लगाई है और यह चौथे स्थान पर पहुंच गया है। इस सूचकांक में दक्षिण कोरिया का उपभोक्ता इलेक्ट्रानिक्स ब्रांड सैमसंग पहले स्थान पर है।
अध्ययन में 16 शहरों के करीब 2,450 उपभोक्ताओं की राय ली गई। वर्ष 2016 में टाटा सातवें स्थान पर था। भारत के सबसे आकर्षक ब्रांड अध्ययन, 2017 में टाटा समूह चौथे स्थान पर पहुंच गया है।
Tata Power Delhi Distribution signs pact with GIZ to promote green energy and efficiency
Tata Power Delhi Distribution Ltd (TPDDL), the private electricity distributor in the national capital, has signed an agreement with German state-owned GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit) for promotion of renewable energy and energy efficiency initiatives.
The German enterprise supports key initiatives including Smart Cities, Clean India and Skill India.

टाटा पावर डीडीएल ने स्वच्छ ऊर्जा, ऊर्जा दक्षता को बढ़ावा देने के लिये जीआईजेड के साथ किया समझौता
बिजली वितरण कंपनी टाटा पावर दिल्ली डिस्ट्रिब्यूशन लि. (टाटा पावर डीडीएल) ने इलेक्ट्रिक वाहन, ऊर्जा दक्षता समेत विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में सहयोग की संभावना तलाशने के लिये जर्मनी सरकार की कंपनी जीआईजेड के साथ एक शुरुआती समझौते (एमओयू) पर हस्ताक्षर किये।
जर्मनी सरकार की कंपनी जीआईजेड अंतरराष्ट्रीय सहयोग के जरिये सतत विकास के उद्देश्य से संबंधित कार्यक्रमों का क्रियान्वयन करती है।
Freedom fighter Gaur Kishore Ganguli dead
Freedom fighter and lawyer Gaur Kishore Ganguli died. He was 96. He began practising in Dhanbad district court after the reorganization of states in 1956 and was a member of the bar association.
स्वतंत्रता सेनानी गौर किशोर गांगुली का निधन
स्वतंत्रता सेनानी और अधिवक्ता गौर किशोर गांगुली का निधन हो गया। वह 96 वर्ष के थे। साल 1956 में राज्यों के पुर्नगठन के बाद उन्होंने धनबाद जिला न्यायालय में वकालत आरंभ कर दी। वह बार एसोसिएशन के सदस्य भी थे।
Padma Vibhushan Thumri singer Girija Devi dies
Eminent classical singer and Padma Vibhushan awardee Girija Devi died. She was 88.
Girija Devi received the Padma Shri in 1972, the Padma Bhushan in 1989 and the Padma Vibhushan in 2016.

प्रख्यात शास्त्रीय गायिका गिरिजा देवी का निधन
पद्म विभूषण से सम्मानित प्रख्यात शास्त्रीय गायिका गिरिजा देवी का निधन हो गया। वह 88 वर्ष की थीं।
बनारस घराने की गायिका को वर्ष 1972 में पद्श्री सम्मान मिला था। वर्ष 1989 में उन्हें पद्म भूषण और 2016 में पद्म विभूषण से सम्मानित किया गया था।
