Canadian filmmaker Atom Egoyan to get lifetime achievement

Acclaimed Canadian filmmaker Atom Egoyan will be honoured with a lifetime achievement award at the 2017 International Film Festival of India (IFFI).

Egoyan is best known for his films "Exotica", "The Sweet Hereafter" and "Chloe". The festival will screen three films produced by the 57-year-old filmmaker.

कनाडा के मशहूर फिल्मकार एटम एगोयन को भारतीय अंतरराष्ट्रीय फिल्म महोत्सव (आईएफएफआई), 2017 में लाइफटाइम अचीवमेंट अवार्ड दिया जाएगा।

‘एक्जॉटिका’, ‘द स्वीट हियरआफ्टर’ और ‘क्लोए’ जैसे फिल्मों के लिए जाने जाने वाले निर्माता-निर्देशक एटम के सम्मान में महोत्सव के एक विशेष फिल्म खंड में उनकी तीन फिल्में भी दिखायी जाएंगी।

केंद्रीय जहाजरानी, सड़क परिवहन व राजमार्ग तथा जल संसाधन एवं नदी विकास तथा गंगा संरक्षण मंत्री नितिन गडकरी ने कोचीन शिपयार्ड लिमिटेड की 970 करोड रूपये की लागत से निर्मित होने वाली अंतर्राष्ट्रीय जहाज मरम्मत सुविधा की आधारशिला रखी।
