Deen Dayal SPARSH Yojana launched to promote philately

Minister of Communications Manoj Sinha launched a Pan India scholarship program for school children called Deen Dayal SPARSH Yojana to increase the reach of Philately.

Under the scheme of SPARSH (Scholarship for Promotion of Aptitude & Research in Stamps as a Hobby), it is proposed to award annual scholarships to children of Standard VI to IX having good academic record and also pursuing Philately as a hobby.

संचार मंत्री मनोज सिन्‍हा ने डाक टिकट संग्रह को प्रोत्‍साहन देने के लिए दीनदयाल स्‍पर्श योजना का शुभारंभ किया। यह पूरे भारत के स्‍कूली बच्‍चों के लिए छात्रवृत्ति योजना है। ‘स्‍पर्श’ योजना के तहत कक्षा VI से IX तक उन बच्‍चों को वार्षिक तौर पर छात्रवृत्ति दी जाएगी, जिनका शैक्षणिक परिणाम अच्‍छा है और जिन्‍होंने

Glide Bomb Successfully Tested, To BeInducted Soon

An indigenously developed light weight 'Glide' bomb has been successfully tested in Chandipur in Odisha. The bomb -- Smart Anti Airfield Weapon (SAAW) -- was dropped from an Indian Air Force aircraft. SAAW will be soon inducted into the armed forces.

ओडिशा के चांदीपुर में पूर्णरूप से देश में विकसित और कम वजन वाले 'ग्लाइड' बम का सफलतापूर्वक परीक्षण किया गया है । इस बम - स्मार्ट एंटी एयरफील्ड वीपन ( एसएएडब्ल्यू ) - को भारतीय वायु सेना के विमान से गिराया गया। एसएएडब्ल्यू को जल्दी ही शसस्त्र सेना में शामिल किया जाएगा ।
