India, Kazakhstan armies joint exercise from Nov 2 in Himachal Pradesh
Troops of Indian and Kazakhstan armies will engage in a 14-day joint military exercise 'Prabal Dostyk 2017' from November 2 in Himachal Pradesh to strengthen bilateral relations and exchange skills and experiences.
This is second joint military exercise between the two countries. The first edition of Prabal Dostyk was held in Kazakhstan in 2016, defence spokesperson Col. N N Joshi said.

भारत और कजाखस्तान की सेनाएं द्विपक्षीय संबंधों को मजबूती देने और कौशल एवं अनुभव के आदान-प्रदान के लिए दो नवंबर से हिमाचल प्रदेश में 14 दिन का संयुक्त सैन्य अभ्यास 'प्रबल दोस्तीक 2017' करेंगी।
रक्षा प्रवक्ता कर्नल एन एन जोशी ने बताया कि यह दोनों देशों के बीच दूसरा संयुक्त सैन्य अभ्यास है। पहले संस्करण ‘प्रबल दोस्तीक’ का आयोजन वर्ष 2016 में कजाखस्तान में किया गया था।
UN names new Myanmar resident coordinator
The United Nations announced that it has appointed a Norwegian national Knut Ostby as an interim resident coordinator in Myanmar and the resident representative for the UN Development Program in the country.
Knut Ostby, who has served as a UN resident coordinator for more than 11 years, replaces Renata Lok-Dessallien in his new role, the UN said in a statement.

संयुक्त राष्ट्र ने घोषणा की कि उसने एक नॉर्वेई नागरिक क्नट ओस्टबाई को म्यामां में अपना अंतरिम स्थानीय समन्वयक और देश में संरा विकास कार्यक्रम के लिये स्थानीय प्रतिनिधि नियुक्त किया है।
संरा ने एक बयान में कहा कि 11 सालों से ज्यादा वक्त तक संयुक्त राष्ट्र स्थानीय समन्वय की भूमिका निभा चुके क्नट ओस्टबाई को नई जिम्मेदारी दी गयी है। वह रेनाटा लोक-डेसालियेन की जगह लेंगे।

Industry hails India's ascend to 100th spot in ease of doing Cheered by the country's 30-notch jump to 100th in the World banks ease of doing business ranking, India Inc today said the improved performance will boost investor sentiment, even as the industry believes a "lot more needs to be done" on the reforms front.
India has been ranked 100th among 190 countries and territories in the report released by the World Bank. India's rank was 130 last year.
कारोबार सुगमता रैंकिंग में भारत की लंबी छलांग, 100वें स्थान पर पहुंचा
भारत ने विश्वबैंक की कारोबार सुगमता रिपोर्ट रैंकिंग में लंबी छलांग लगायी है। देश की रैंकिंग 30 पायदान सुधरकर 100वें स्थान पर पहुंच गयी। इससे उत्साहित सरकार ने सुधारों को आगे बढ़ाने का संकल्प दोहराया जिससे देश आने वाले वर्ष में कारोबार सुगमता के मामले में शीर्ष 50 देशों में शामिल हो सकता है।
नरेंद्र मोदी सरकार के 2014 में सत्ता में आने के समय भारत की रैंकिंग 142 थी। पिछले साल यह 130 थी।
